Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2015
These are by far the best! People are always impressed and think I'm some expert baker when I present these. Lol Took two plates, piled high to my friend's Halloween party one year, with the expectation she'd have some left over for herself. However, every last cookie was gone within 15 minutes.

One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
Not a bad recipe. I creamed the butter and sugar first, then added the egg and stirred it good, then the other moist ingredients, then added the dry to that. Also, I used 1/2 tbs of vanilla extract and the juice of one lemon (about 1/4 cup), no lemon extract because I didn't have any. It could've used a little more lemon juice probably, but it turned out good. I baked it for 50 min. and I coated the pan with sugar before pouring the batter in, and sprinkled sugar on top before baking- gave it a nice crust.

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
Most of the brownie recipes I've found were not as good as a box mix. But this one is even better than a mix! It's very simple and has an amazing texture. Very fudgey, just the way I like. I used baking cocoa and sugar in place of the squares of chocolate like a lot of people here. I also left out the walnuts, because i'm not a big fan of nuts in my desserts.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
The only chocolate chip cookie recipe I use! It's absolutely delicious and unlike any other recipe I've made or tasted. Not many people have ever heard of using pudding mix in cookies... so this recipe really shines. Sure to be a hit =)

GA Peach Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
I've made this recipe a couple times by now, and I absolutely love it! Both times I cut up some canned peaches because that's all I had available without a special trip to the store. It turned out wonderful! No need to look further for a better pound cake recipe. This was an instant favorite in my book. Though I do want to try making some kind of peach glaze or something to put on top.. But that's just because I like to experiment. It's delicious without a glaze. =)

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2007
These cookies really are great! Ever get a random craving for homemade sugar cookies, but don't feel like waiting hours before you can even cook them? Then this recipe is perfect for you! Most people have the ingredients right in their kitchen. I have batch number 3 in the oven right now. If you like your cookies to be a bit sweeter, then once the dough is in balls on the sheet, very slightly flatten them (Just to where the tops are fairly flat instead of round) and sprinkle sugar on top before baking. Delicious! And, as any kind of cookie, they're best served warm with a cold glass of milk. ;)
