Tuna Piccata Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
This is a great recipe to start from and build a dish specific to your taste. I used cavatappi pasta, added celery, red onion, sun dried tomatoes, extra capers, hard boiled egg. I left out the mayo. I know this sounds like too much of diversion from the original for my rating to mean much, but I can tell from how mine tasted that the original is worth 5 stars. And it gets 5 for its versatility.

A Fragrant, Spicy Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
This was delicious. I did add some onion while cooking the mushrooms. And I added a little extra cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cardamom (I like spice). This is definitely going to be something I start making fairly regularly.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Love this, but I think you must add cumin. And I love garlic and add a bit while cooking the onion. Yogurt is preferable to sour cream.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
This is a great recipe. First time making pita bread. Turned out great. I never realized how simple it could be. I rolled out and then refrigerated a few unbaked pitas, and baked them the next day, still with good results. Two days later they were still alright (but the quality was definitely inferior). This is going to be my go to recipe for pita.

Moroccan Couscous

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I was searching a new couscous dish and when I saw this recipe, I knew it was the one I was looking for. Loved this. Didn't change a thing (except for halfing it). After enjoying this delicious dish I will definitely be trying the other suggested accompanying dishes soon.

Delicious. I marinated the tenderloin in the orange marmalade and ginger mixture overnight. This was simple and great.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
I really liked this, but it had to cook longer than the recipe called for to get to a consistency that I wanted. This was even better the next day.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
Very tasty. I didn't have Worcestershire so I did modify a bit (I used soy sauce, tamarind paste, and cider vinegar as substitute). I also put in some rosemary because I love rosemary. Mine was great and I imagine being true to the recipe will be just as excellent. The quinoa was a great idea to use in this. I cooked the quinoa in beef broth for added flavor.

Robin's Quinoa with Mushrooms and Spinach

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
Turned out great. Qinoa, spinach, mushrooms, balsamic vinegar... these are a few of my favorite things, and this is a wonderful combination of flavors. I realized I did not have any white wine after getting started so I just used more chicken broth. Still was great and I am going to make with the wine soon.

French Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
I used this recipe as the base for the first french loaf I've ever made and it turned out better than I even expected. I did use half wheat flour, and a bit extra yeast after reading some of the reviews, and the result was a very beautiful, tasty bread.

Potato and Shiitake Mushroom Gratin

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
Love this recipe. I actually only used cream and no half and half by accident, but it still turned out great.
