The Perfect Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
Used this with flank steak. I left out the sesame seeds and only used half the ginger. Didn't have two hours to marinate but an hour was plenty. So delicious!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
My family loved this, although one daughter thought adding peas would be a great addition. Next time I make this, I need to pay closer attention to the amount of noodles. I put in a whole package of egg noodles and it came out a little dry. Delicious flavor!

Bacon-y Bok Choy

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
Really liked the flavor. I think if I make this again, I'll cut the bok choy down some. Great recipe for trying out a new veggie.

Potato and Cheddar Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
Out of necessity, I used evaporated milk. Based on some of the reviews, I left out the flour and the sugar and cooked the potatoes in chicken broth. So good!

Slow-Cooked Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Oh. My. Word. Delicious!! I had heard of short ribs but hadn't had them, so when I stopped at the butcher's Saturday morning and saw them, I picked some up. Mine weren't boneless so once the meat was done, I pulled out the bones and shredded the meat with two forks. Thickened the sauce up with a little cornstarch and it was great over the meat as well as the side of mashed potatoes. Heaven on a plate!

San Antonio Taco Salad

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
We used tortilla chips instead of the "bowls" and also used pinto beans instead of the kidneys (I had boiled up a batch the night before). We loved the flavor of this. So much better than ripping open a packet of taco seasoning and just as easy.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
Very basic and very good. We add crushed garlic or garlic powder in a pinch to bump up the flavor.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
I was afraid with the soy sauce and soup mix the roast might be too salty but it wasn't. The kids thought this was the best roast they've had.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
I left out the dill and the almonds, strictly due to preference. This was a big hit with the family!

I spaced off adding the chili powder, but these were still really good!

Pasta Fagioli II

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Very good! I did leave out the bacon and add in a little ground beef because but that was simply to suit our family's taste. I essentially just dumped everything in the pot once the meat was browned and let it go for awhile. Smelled and tasted delicious. Thanks for a great recipe.

Mozechilli Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
I really enjoyed this! I did add some onion and garlic to my ground beef, and a little extra garlic powder and Italian seasoning to the spaghetti sauce (it was generic and I thought it needed something extra). My daughter thought it would be better with a little more sauce.

One-Dish Chicken, Vegetable and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
Made some substitutions out of necessity (leftover chicken breast and wild rice, frozen chopped green peppers) and took the tip of another reviewer who used sour cream and broth instead of the water. It was really good!
