Lemon Pudding Poke Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
Extremely refreshing and tasty! The whole family loved it, even the non lemon fans! Added a tsp of lemon extract to the cake mix and used half a tub of cool whip on top. Yum!

Baked Ziti I

Soooo good! My family begs me to make this delicious dish. I use extra sauce as a personal preference. I follow the recipe as stated, with the exception of extra sauce, and it is perfect everytime :)

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
I get rave reviews on these every single time! They are super moist and delicious! I prefer to use the large size muffin pans. It is more time consuming to use the standard size because you have to cut the pineapple rings to fit them in the cups. With the large muffin tin the rings fit right in. I double the brown sugar and butter mixture. The cakes seem to come out moister and sweeter. I also use the pineapple cake mix and do 1 cup of water and 1/4 cup of pineapple juice since the batter is already pineapple flavored.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
Wow! This recipe is super easy to make and was absolutely delicous! I have never made a cobbler so I was pretty nervous. This recipe turned out to be not intimidating at all so if you are a beginner cobbler maker, this is the recipe to try. I did as others suggested and added the teaspoon of vanilla and cinnamon to the crust batter and doubled the batter as well because we like a lot of crust. This was definitely the best part! I actually think I like this type of crust better than the pie crust type of other cobblers I have eaten. I used blackberries(which I am not a huge fan of but my boyfriend's family are) and I actually had two servings it was so decadent. My boyfriend's grandmother gave me the wonderful compliment that this recipe reminded her of her mother's recipe when she was little. For those of you who don't have a cast iron skillet like myself, I just used a Corningware dish. DO USE the baking sheet with aluminum foil. When I put it in the oven I didn't think I needed to do this because I didn't think it would rise that much but it definitely did! I caught my mistake though just in time before the oven became a major blackberry mess.

Sticky Monkey Brains

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
My family liked this recipe. I will say it tastes a tad like the cinnamon rolls from CiCi's pizza. I will agree with other reviewers that this is a great recipe to do with kids. My niece had an awesome time cutting the biscuits and rolling them in the cinnamon sugar. I put mine in a small cake pan and cooked for 30 minutes and it was perfectly cooked. I also doubled the brown sugar and butter mixture and came out great.

Cherry Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Pretty good recipe! I let it set overnight and followed the recipe exactly and it still does not cut out of the pan perfectly. It wasn't runny but it wasn't cheesecake consistency either like the picture appears. But my family and I enjoyed it and will definitely make again!

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
My first try making gravy and it was not only successful but super easy! I used Owen's hot sausage and the after taste was perfectly spicy for mine and my boyfriends taste buds. It took awhile to thicken but it was tasty!
