Lower Fat Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
Just came out of the oven and cooled a little, tried a piece and super moist! I added half the sugar but used a little extra applesauce to make up for it. Also used less vanilla and added some cinnamon. Used EVOO instead of veggie oil and used 1 cup whole wheat flour instead of all white. Very good! Was looking for a recipe that was healthier but not super healthy thst ladies at work wouldnt like, this is perfect!

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2013
Fiance and i both liked this. I added some pressed garlic to veggies like i do for everything. Added extra milk since once all mixed together it seemed a little thick. Will def make again but add more variety of veggies next time. Was hesitant on the amount of potato. I used 3 small ones and was still a lot. Green beans corn and peas would be great. Great for turkey leftovers!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
I was not sure because of cream cheese in an alfredo sauce but this garlicky sause was YUM! Great alternative to using cream. I always use real garlic, crushed, sauted in the butter. Have made this a couple times and will continue to. Our go to for white sauce :)

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
I had never made pie crust before and probably never will again!!! It is a lot of work... but I didn't have any premade crust and wanted to make chicken pot pie so I thought I would give it a try. I think I'll run to the store and spend the money next time. It was very good though!

Double Chocolate Biscotti

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
This was my first time making biscotti and it turned out great! I only added 1 tsp baking powder based on previous reviews. They weren't too hard or too soft. So yummy dipped in coffee or tea! I read online that to ensure they are crispy enough, let them cool overnight in the oven then put them in an airtight container. This is what I did and they were perfect!

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Im glad I read the reviews first! I decided to cut the chicken breasts in half to make them thinner. I did a thin layer of flour prior to dipping them in the egg and flour mixture. Also, I put them in the oven while I made the sauce and they stayed crispy. If I wouldnt have cut them in half they wouldnt have been cooked thoroughly. The sauce was great but only enough for 2 chicken breasts. Served over linguine and it was delicious!

Chicken with Cashews

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
My boyfriend loved this but I didn't care for it. I thought the peanut oil was too overpowering. It wasn't anything like cashew chicken at a chinese restaurant and he agreed that he likes that kind better. But he ate all of it!

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
My boyfriend absolutely loved these! He had been asking me to make chinese food and crab rangoons for a couple weeks and I finally looked up a recipe. They weren't too time consuming once I got the hang of it and cooked in no time in a deep fryer. I didn't think they tasted like the ones from any restaurant but they were good. I swear my boyfriend ate 20 of them that night and has been telling everyone how great they were. He won't stop bugging me to make them again!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I doubled the sauce on this recipe because of other reviews saying there wasn't enough since I added some stir fry veggies. The sauce ended up being way to powerful for me, but my boyfriend liked if even though he agreed it was quite tangy. I will make this again but without extra sauce. The veggies I added were great though, (celery, brocoli, carrots, red peppers, onions, and water chestnuts). The chicken was tender too!..I had no problem with my sauces thickness like others. I gave it 10 minutes to thicken up and it was just great.
