Bread Machine Thin Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
I gave this four stars instead of five because I had a hard time stretching it. I think it could use some more water or oil not sure which. Other than the stretching issue it was a great basic dough recipe.

Best Basic Sweet Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
This was a very good bread recipe and I made it in my bread oven. I just melted the butter and warmed the milk before adding it to the machine. I didn't think it was sweet enough for true sweetbread but it is very versatile ans delicious so I gave it 5 stars.

Raspberry Venison Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I made this tonight and it was the first time I have cooked venison. I chose this recipe because it did not require a long marinating time. The meat was very tender. I omitted the extra sugar in the onions but the dish was still sweeter than I prefer. Everyone enjoyed it but I probably would opt fora more traditional meal.

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
These muffins are good, but I do not care for the consistency of the cooked strawberries when it is done. I did add the extra brown sugar and 1/2 tsp nutmeg, but I did not reduce the flower because I knew when the fresh strawberries cooked they would release a lot of water. I also used all ww flour and added 2 tbls of gluten. The mixture was more like a biscuit dough hen placing into the pan but came out perfectly.

Easy Salsa Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
I used ground turkey for this meat loaf as I always do and my family enjoyed it. I on the other hand did not care for it. it did not taste spectacular to me. it was moist but not overly flavorful like when I an parmesan cheese.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
I only eat whole wheat flour, always have. I guess I am kind of picky because I will only eat 2 brands from the health food store, and with everything going up in price I am trying to bake more from scratch. This bread is so simple and perfect the only thing I added is 3 tbs of gluten. You can but gluten in bulk at health food stores or at amazon.com.

Cake-Topped Blueberry Dessert

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
This is a very versatile recipe. I found it to be a little on the sweet side, but that could just be personal taste. I made this for a Sun. dinner and 1 of the members is allergic to wheat so I ground up oat in my food processor and used it in place of flour, it came out wonderful.

Honey Corn Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
This is a keeper. I made it tonight to go with chilie and plantains. I followed another persons idea and ued evaporated milk instead oh half and half and Splenda for the sugar. I also added oil rather than butter and a tsp of salt. I did not defrost the corn. It came out moist and sweet but not too sweet. I sprayed a 8x8 pan and took about 40 minutes to cook. Oh yeah I also used all purpose whole wheat flour for the flour.
