No Bake Cookies I

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
These were a hit!! The boiling time really is crucial, I under-boiled my second batch so they didn't ever quite set 100%, but when I brought them to a party, the first batch disappeared and even the picky French guests were scraping the second batch off the plates! I used extra-crunchy peanut butter and Nesquik powder since I couldn't find cocoa. Will definitely make again! Super quick, easy and DELICIOUS!

Wonderful!! Added a cup of raisins to one batch and a cup of chocolate chips to another. Everyone was asking for the recipe.

Cream of Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
This has definitely become a staple in my kitchen. I substituted green onions and added 1 cup of peas and 1 tbsp of cumin and 3 tbsp of curry. Sounds unorthodox but my friend recommended it and it was absolutely sensational! Cheap and yummy, great for this college student :)

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
AMAZING! I followed some reviewers' tips and used 2 tsp. vanilla extract as well as 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening. I used half a package of semi-sweet morsels, half a package of white chocolate morsels, a handful of crushed Hershey kisses leftover from Halloween, and a cup of pecans. They were fantastic! Easily the best cookies I've ever made!

Country Green Beans

DELICIOUS! And super easy! Doubled the ham and it was perfect. Didn't think all the butter was necessary and I'd lower the amount for next time. Be sure not to over cook it! Otherwise it will end up watery.

Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
A quick and easy easy base for alfredo! *Definitely* use butter and not margarine, otherwise it will have a gross aftertaste. You also don't need as much butter as the recipe calls for, I used a little less. I sauteed some mushrooms and garlic in the butter before adding the milk and it came out DELICIOUS! I used more parmesan cheese than the recipe called for because.. why not! Yummm.

Taco Pies

FIVE STARS with this simple change! Cook the beef, drain the grease, add a packet of taco seasoning and mix in the can of refried beans. *Mixing the beef and beans together is key!* Use this in the taco pie and it comes out absolutely delicious!!

Next time I will use a little less tahini, the taste is a bit overpowering. Still pretty great!

Chex® Lemon Buddies

I thought these were pretty good! I didn't have to go thru the baking step that some described. Be sure to keep it in an airtight container when not being nibbled on- it goes stale pretty quickly.

Baked Chicken

I was a little disappointed! I thought the taste of mustard was overpowering. I will use honey mustard next time and lower it to 1 tablespoon. I thought the chicken was very tender though.

Ricotta Gnocchi

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
I thought these ended up way too dense. Perhaps I just don't have the knack for making gnocchi, but I think I'm going to leave it to the professionals :(
