Merwin's Shrimp Gumbo

This recipe was very bland to the point that all I could taste was flour and oil. Thank goodness for the reviews... you all saved my gumbo! I made a dash to the store and added 1 can of stewed tomatoes, 2 bouillon cubes, frozen okra (I figured fresh would take too much time since it was technically done!), 15 dashes of hot sauce, 15 dashes of worchester sauce, and a few dashes of old bay. I would take some of your advice next time and use half olive oil/half veggie oil to adjust the flavor.

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

I can't believe how flavorful this is! I followed this recipe to the letter, did not add or omit anything, and my chicken drumsticks turned out tastey. (I used olive oil to coat my baking dish and it did not stick). One tip I would give though is to lay the cut part of a the chicken downside in the baking dish, so the blood can drain off while cooking...Otherwise, blood will get infused with the crust while baking.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

This is a tasty recipe and very easy to make. I did make a few adjustments...In addition to the suggested ingredients, I sauteed fresh chopped garlic & white onions and added them to the mixture. I also used brown instead of the arborio rice and poured in a little vegetable stock to soften the brown rice. I also added a little Adobo spanish seasoning to the rice when mixing all of the ingredients together for additional flavor. This is a healthy side dish that I make regularly.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

This dish turned out fantastic! I took the suggestion of other reviewers and sauteed the garlic, butter and parsley before I drizzled it on the talapia. I also increased the amount of butter and garlic I used. I LIGHTLY seasoned both sides with salt, pepper, Old Bay seafood seasoning & paprika before adding the sauce. Baked for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. My husband raved about how it was the best fish I've ever made and it tasted like a restaurant-prepared dish. Served with fresh green beans and a vegetable lasagna. Thanks for the recipe. Will definately make again!
