Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Great cookies! Soft on the inside just the way I like it. My fiance loved them and was surprised at the "secret" ingredient. It is not an overpowering bacon flavor, but the whole point is to compliment. You take a bite and wonder what is that?...they are yummy.

Mango Blueberry Muffins With Coconut Streusel

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
These are good but not amazing. Although I did deviate from the recipe a bit. I didn't have blueberries so i used pineapple. I figured it would go well with the mango and coconut. I also added a little bit more mango than asked. The thing I made a mistake on is cutting back on the sugar to 3/4C as some had stated because I don't like things too sweet. Next time I will use 1C and use the blueberries and maybe mash some of the mango into the matter along with cut up pieces.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
I made this for dessert at a BBQ we had. Everyone loved it. The Cinnamon Chips were great & this whole dish was easy to prepare. I used Strawberries, Raspberries, Gala Apple and a Red Pear. I used a Mixed Berry jam and the results were great!! I cut the fruit into small squares so it would be easy to scoop with the chips. There is no need for measurements really I could make this and adjust it to the quantity I want and tailor the fruit to our likes or dislikes. I will be making this for a long time and will be my go to in a pinch.

Portuguese Bread French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
This was great! I added some chocolate chips to the layers and it turned out great. This could probably serve 8-10 people since it is so rich and heavy. Since there are only two of us, we have been reheating it and it's still great!

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Pretty yummy. I did make some changes. I seasoned the filling as the recipe states except I added red chili flakes, I also used canned tomatoes instead of canned sauce and blended it. As for the sauce over the peppers again I blended some canned tomatoes and added basil, oregano, red chili flakes, onion & garlic, salt and pepper and just let it simmer a bit. It was pretty flavourful and I served it with a salad.

Carrot Cupcakes with White Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I liked the recipe. It was yummy but I have made better carrot cakes and the icing gave me some difficulty with melting the white chocolate. But they were yummy and will get eaten up I'm sure.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
Cookies are great! The cookies have a crispy exterior and a chewy interior and I baked for 15 minutes. I used 1/8C to make the cookies, I think 1/4C would be too big for me. I added 1 1/2 C of chocolate chips and 1/2C of pecans. Next time I will do a cup of each. They are sweet and rich and two cookies were more than enough and one would be perfect...but I would look forward to my next cookie. A great chocolate chip cookie and will go into my chocolate chip cookie rotation.

Teriyaki Sauce

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Quick, Easy and Tasty. I used Madeira wine because I didn't have any Sherry. I made this for Slow Cooker Pork Tenderloin from this site. Everyone loved the sauce that I made with this teriyaki. I know some people that simmer their sauce on the stove top for a bit. I may try this next time and see how it works out as a dipping sauce.

Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
The glaze is excellent. I used it on pork chops instead of a roast. I reduced the glaze a bit on the stove, broiled the chops then glazed them and broiled a few minutes more.

Bacon and Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Good. My hubby liked them. I did use 3 cheeses (parm, cheddar and mozzarella), everything else was the same. I am absolutely in love with cheese but I felt I need to add something else to brighten up the flavors. When I find what that is I could give this 5 stars....but then it wouldn't be the same recipe hehe.

Applesauce

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Great recipe and tastes great! This was super easy and a great way to use up some apples that were on their last leg. I only had 1 lb of apples so I just barely covered with water as the written part of the recipe states and add just a little under a 1/4C of sugar (I just added a few teaspoons of sugar to taste approx. 1/4C) and the juice of 1/2 of a lemon. I also added a couple of cinnamon sticks. Will definitely make again.

Chocolate Macaroon Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
I give it 3 stars because I used a boxed chocolate cake instead of following the recipe, but used the filling as shown. They were nice and quick to make for the quick sugar fix I craved at the time.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
This is great and quick. Everyone at the party I brought it to loved it. I changed it to my taste using mozza and provolone. Cold cuts I used were Genoa salami, cooked ham and prociutto salami. I added Italian seasoning to the egg mix with parmesan and add all of it to the cold cuts. I mixed some olve oil and oregano and brushed the top of the cresent rolls with it and then sprinkled more freshly grated parmesan on top. It was great and I can addapt it to any flavor concept I want.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
These were totally AWESOME!!! I took them to my mother in laws and they couldn't stop raving about them and they were gone in a flash. I found the recipe was easy peasy. The bread maker made the dough. The only work was rolling out the dough. After that it was just following the steps and waiting to rise. There was a lot of icing, I just froze the extra and will use on my next batch. I'm sure others would use it up, but we didn't put too much on the buns. I cannot wait to make them again!!!

Baked Brie with Mushrooms and Almonds

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I made this over the holidays when my boyfriends family came to visit. We had it in the middle of a domino's game. This was so good. Everyone was raving about it. We put the game on hold to gobble it up. I did make some adjustments, I didn't have the almonds so I put walnuts in. I also added some sundried tomatoes. I served it with some Nonna garlic toasts from Costco. I can't wait to make it again!!!
