Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
We all loved these... I still haven't mastered the art of getting cabbage leaves off without tearing, but they're good, none the less. Added some worces. sauce and brown sugar.

AMAZING!!! Left out the preserves. Sprayed one side of tortilla with PAM and baked it with the cinn/sugar. A big hit at our holiday party!

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Really amazing! Will compete with ANY Thai restaurant... I omitted radish and tamarind pulp because I went to 4 stores and couldn't find either... so I used worchestershire instead of tamarind, and lime instead of radishes. Wow was this good... soaked wide rice noodles for about 30 minutes... after 15 minutes, I drained and added more hot water.

This was awesome! I used 8 oz mushrooms, and I will increase it next time. I used boneless thighs. They were really delicious. Great meal with mashed potatoes.

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I like it a lot... but it's missing something and I cannot figure it out. I did double the beef broth like suggested. It was really really good... just missing something.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I would give this 10 stars if I could! I made croutons out of crusty bread and used those instead of french bread... I did not use thyme because I didn't have any, and this was still so delicious! Used a large white onion, 3/4 of a large vidalea, and two small yellow onions... a total of 5 cups. Cut the butter in half, but next time I will leave it out all together.

Oh my gosh... these were to die for! I broiled them for 12 minutes or so to keep the recipe fat free. Amazing!

Caramel Apple Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I found this initially on the food network website, as a Paula Deen recipe. I have always wanted to try one of her dishes, so this was it. Amazing! So so good... and so easy. I didn't change a single thing. Everyone loved it because it was a combination of cheesecake and apple pie.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
Everyone loved it! I used 5 lbs potatoes, 1 1/2 sticks of butter (the amount on the recipe is a ton!!). I mashed with a potato masher so it was chunky instead of beaten. Really yummy!

Sausage Broccoli Manicotti

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This was great!! I thought the cottage cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't. I used a cup more sauce and sweet italian ausage links with the casing removed (1.24 lbs). The flavor was great, and three of us ate the whole thing!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I didn't really like this... It might just be that I have never had lamb before and don't like the taste of lamb... but this wasn't very good... no one went back for seconds (in my family, that is VERY rare =)) It took a lot longer to cook than 18 minutes. I had it in for 25 and it was still bleeding!

The BEST recipe I've ever had. Served with angel hair and steamed asparagus. I used 1.25 lbs shrimp and the correct amount of everything else. Perfect for 3 people.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I've made these three times, and they've always been excellent! The last time, I added bread crumbs to the top, but couldn't tell a difference... so save the calories and leave them out. I use 1/3 less fat cream cheese... And this filling is enough to stuff at least 40 white mushrooms. Everyone loves them!
