Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
This turned out really well. I used vanilla extract instead of the almond, and added an additional 1-2 tsps milk while frosting the cookies as it did get a bit thick. Before completely drying, I had added some colored sugars to make them even fancier!

Pork Chops with Mushroom Onion Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
These turned out good and the soup kept the chops more moist. I also left out the marjoram, and prior to adding the onions to the baking dish, I browned them for a few minutes in browning sauce. I served it with rice and broccoli and will be making again.

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I cannot believe how good these cookies are. I also used butter instead of the margarine, and they are so light, crispy and delicious! I will definitely be making these again.

Chocolate Covered Caramel Surprise Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
These were very rich and chocolaty. I did chill the dough for about half an hour prior to rolling and baking since my dough felt a bit too sticky to handle at first. I also used parchment paper which made getting them off a tray very easy, and waited about 3 minutes prior to removing from the tray.

Vidalia Sweet Onion Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I always get requests for this recipe wherever I bring it! Delicious, highly addictive, the only change I make is I use light mayonnaise, as I find regular mayo is too greasy.

Praline Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Anything with brown sugar, butter and yellow cake mix is a winner with me and this did not disappoint me! I did make a few minor changes; I substituted toffee chips for the pecans (just a personal preference), and mixed together a thin glaze of milk, powdered sugar and a touch of cinnamon, pokes holes in the cake just after taking it out of the oven and poured the glaze over top before topping with the brown sugar mix. Delicious!

Quick Chicken And Wine

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Very easy and very tasty; a great recipe to make after a long day at work when you want something good but don't want to spend the whole night cooking. Thanks for a good addition to my recipe file!

Cowboy Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I actually have not even made this recipe yet, but it is the same ingredients that was in a casserole my mom used to make when I was little! She unfortunately had lost the recipe and when I saw this I knew it was it. I cannot wait to try it!

I had made these to go along with a tossed salad when having some friends over for dinner and they were so tasty. Thanks for a great and easy recipe.

White Chocolate Blondies

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I thought these had a good taste, but I did feel the texture was quite thick and doughy, and the white chocolate was not as strong as I had hoped. After reading other's reviews and tips, I think i will omit the chocolate chips, and use a combo of white chips and toffee instead.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
This was delicious! I could have just eaten the frosting by itself. I did make an adjustment and only added 2 TBSP milk, which gave it a perfect fluffy consistency

Brownie Batter + Cupcake = The SECOND BEST Cupcake. Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
These tasted great. I did have the same problem as another reviewer with the brownie baking too much and made it too dense, but the second batch turned out much better, more gooey as I shortened baking time by a few minutes. I frosted some with a cream cheese frosting, and others with the fluffy peanut butter frosting (absolutely delicious!) on this site. Yummy; I will make again!

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I love these! They are easy to make and sooooo good! They remind me of the hashbrowns I used to get at a local restaurant that is now closed. I make them so often that my husband has affectionately coined them "Honey's Famous Potatoes"!

Almost Caramel de Lite Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
These were very good! Although I did not think they tasted like the caramel delight bars that I am used to having, they were yummy and gooey, 2 things I love! They were harder to cut and get out of the pan, which was probably the marshmallows, and i added extra coconut, but will be making again and again!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
This was soooo good! The only changes I made were instead of a clove of garlic, I mixed 1 tsp garlic powder with the oil, and then after putting in the pan, drizzled with an additional 2 TBSP oil and 1 tsp garlic mixture. Chicken was moist, and my husband went back for a third piece! Thank you for this great recipe!

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
This was very good, much better than I expected. The cola sort of threw me, wasn't sure how that would turn out but it was great. I also made a few changes based on other reviewer's tips; i browned the chops after dipping in a mixture of flour, seasoned salt and minced onion, and added about 1/2 cup chopped onion to the skillet while browning. I also mixed in an additional 1 TBSP of brown sugar with the sauce mix, and after pouring over the chicken, i sprinkled additional minced onion over top. I only baked 30 minutes and they turned out great! This one is worth repeating; even my husband thought so!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
These were good, but mine turned out on the flat side. Did anyone else have that problem? I did chill the dough like one reviewer recommended, and it was humid outside, which perhaps affected the texture. I had also taken the advice of a few other reviewers, added 2 c pb cups and did not melt the pb chips with the chocolate ones. I will probably make again but mix in regular peanut butter with the melted chocolate like one reviewer recommended, and add some chocolate chips in with the pb chips. Overall, a good recipe.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Candy Cake

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
Growing up in the Philly area meant Tastykakes were a main staple in my lunch box! Definitely just like my favorite Tastykake of all, and yes, the milk chocolate chips are better to use.

White Brownies II

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This is a good recipe and fairly easy if you are short on preparation time. It is actually very similar to gooey butter cake, I usually only bake this 35-40 minutes so it maintains some of that gooeiness, and sometimes I will add some chocolate or toffee chips if I want a change. Will make again!
