J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

My family really enjoyed these. I substituted cold butter for the shortening, and it made six fluffy, tall biscuits.

Our chips didn't stay crispy at all. Made it as shown except I used taco seasoning instead of chili powder and a Mexican cheese blend instead of the Colby-Jack listed. It was good, but it's not going to become a standby.

Fresh Cherry Cobbler

I followed others advice and doubled the cherries and reduced the sugar to 1/2 c. instead of 1 c. This was pretty good, but I think a crumble would've been a better use for the cherries.

Mango Pina Colada Smoothie

I made this as written except I used 1% milk instead of the heavy cream and my husband and I didn't care for it. I didn't find that it had a lot of flavor. We ended up adding more pineapple juice, some canned pineapple and then even some banana to try to enhance the flavor.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Original Irish Cream

Very yummy! Instead of 1 c. heavy cream, I used 3/4 c. heavy cream and 1/4 c. 1% milk. Used The Irishman Irish Whiskey and reduced amt. used to 1 c. Also reduced the almond extract to 1/2 tsp. Mixed it with the emulsion blender and slowly poured the whiskey in to prevent curdling. Let develop overnight. So good!!

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

I adjusted the recipe the recipe by cooking it in 1/2 a bottle of beer and adding 2 Tbsp. of brown sugar to the sauerkraut. We also cooked it on low for about 11 hours. The kraut was tasty, but our pork was on the dried out side.

Betsy's Mandarin Orange Salad

Very yummy. Followed other reviewers advice and cut the oil in half and I used fresh parsley instead of dried. The almonds were amazing on the salad. Thanks for a great recipe!

Marshmallow Treats

Followed makeiteasy4me's advice (first review on recipe page) and it worked like a charm. I added mini colored ball sprinkles after I started stirring in the rice krispies, cut them out in the shape of a star and used a lollipop stick to create a fun "magic wand" for my daughter's princess party. Yummy and adorable. Thanks!
