Chicken Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
This was tasty. I used cream of chicken & celery, added pepper, garlic pwdr. to taste. Baked in glass pie dish(no pan under) at 350 for 40 min. then 400 for 15 min. to help brown bottom & top crust.

Candy Cane Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
Used this for a cookie/treat exchange & won Best Taste. I only found 12oz. pkgs of vanilla chips and left about 1/2 cup (4oz.) or so out to try to equal the 10oz. pkgs. Also, I did not use the food coloring because mine turned pinkish from the candy canes. I pressed some slightly crushed candy cane on top & added some green sugar sprinkles on top too. My picture of how my candy looked is in the photos above on the plate with the holly picture on it. And I only gave it 4, because I like peppermint not love it.

Peach Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Delicious, but a bit sweet for our family. Also, turned out real soupy. I think it was because we used our fresh very juicy peaches off our tree.

Easy Seafood Fettucini

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
It was OK....a little bland, so I added some yellow mustard, pepper, & Italian herbs till I liked the flavor to bring it up to 4 Stars. Also, I just had shrimp on hand, so if I would have had the scallops & crab that would have most likely added more flavor to the initial recipe.

Iowa Pork Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I used thick, 1 1/2 inch, boneless pork chops instead. Usually this kind of thing turns out dry chops for me, BUT this was nice and moist! HOWEVER, I did cut the cooking time to ONLY ONE HOUR. I fried quickly on nearly high till browned on each side to seal the juices in before baking.

Chicken Dijon

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
I thought it was Yummy. My finicky kid thought it was OK and hard to please husband thought it was good. I added a piece of Provolone cheese on top of each chicken breast and put it under the broiler till melted before I put the sauce on.
