Parmesan Garlic Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
They were so easy to make! I doubled the garlic powder and forgot to add parmesan, but they still tasted amazing with butter. I also added some chia seeds.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
Instead of vegetable oil, I used butter and I baked at 375 for 15 minutes and made 3 dozen mini muffins. I think I should've taken them out at 13 minutes since some of them browned on the bottom. I also added a little over 1/2 cup of sugar and it tasted plenty sweet. It taste pretty good, but will taste better with butter. Next time, I will try using a little less baking powder since I am tasting a little bit of it.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
I had been craving soft pretzels and after having success making bread using yeast, I had a lot of confidence so decided to go for this recipe. I ended up using 4 cups of flour and added 3 TSP of water because the dough was dry, but figured it will all work out. Instead of vegetable oil, I used coconut oil and used coconut oil to grease the pan. I ended up putting too much of it and it was everywhere...all over the dough, too. I made pretzel sticks since that was easier and my dough wasn't really staying put with so much oil on it. I baked at 400 degrees and 8 minutes was too short. I probably baked 5 minutes longer and then dipped it in butter and added a little sea salt and it tasted really delicious.

Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
I just made this and it is EXCELLENT. So easy to make and so tasty! I have a lot of whole wheat flour so I added 1/2 cup of that instead of using all all-purpose-flour. I also added 1/3 cup less of sugar just because I don't like things too sweet and it still taste pretty sweet to me. I've tried other highly rated white/yellow cake recipes on this site and they turned out kinda dry, but this is the most moist cake I've ever baked. Finally, a cake I want to bake again!

Vinegar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I just made these and it was very easy to make. As I was putting in the nuts, I thought, that's a lot of nuts, but somehow they all got mixed in. I changed the recipe by halving it and substituting whole wheat flour and flax seed for some of the all-purpose-flour. On a lighter cookie sheet, I baked them for 18 min and on a darker pan, it only took 15 min. The result was very flat cookies that were extremely crispy and buttery. They tasted good, but I thought it was a little too sweet so I will cut down on the sugar next time. Because they're so crispy, my toddler made a mess eating them so I'm not too thrilled about that. They're delicious so I can't stop eating them, but wish they were a little chewier.

Creamy Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Loved it! It was very easy to make and delicious. I did make some changes. I added potato and carrots to make it heartier. Used potato flour instead of all purpose flour and coconut milk instead of milk. Didn't add cinnamon. Potato flour always gets very lumpy so I used a blender to puree the potato flour and some of the soup and then added it to the rest of the soup. This was delicious and healthy! Will make it again and again.

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
I read the helpful reviews and chopped up the pepperoni and mixed it with mozzarella and the sauce and ended up using not even 1/4 of it. I bought puff pastry dough and made mini calzones so will find out how they taste, but can't say I loved the taste of it. First off, it was way too messy with the sauce falling out and secondly, it was too salty for my taste. It's a great idea, though, and could taste better, at least for me, if I use less pepperoni in the mix.

It was very easy to make and very few required ingredients, but it was way too sweet for my taste.

French Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
I'm giving it a 2 stars because the flour mixture was lumpy, but I liked the taste so I will try making it again. I will also try microwaving the flour mixture in 10 sec increments like someone else had suggested and hopefully it will make the mixture smooth. I also added some 'drinking chocolate' powder that is 57% cocao and it tasted great.

Delicious Spinach and Turkey Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
This was a delicious meal. Made it for the first time and it was easy to make. I ran out of the turkey sauce so I thought it wouldn't turn out good, but it was very good and there was plenty of liquid. I used one bunch of spinach and that was the perfect amount.

Blueberry Muffins II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
I didn't sprinkle the 1/4 cup sugar and switched 1/3 cup of flour for 1/3 cup of flax seed and they turned out great. I used Nova Scotia blueberries from Whole Foods and they were the biggest blueberries I've ever seen and it seemed like too much blueberries so next time I will use less. Also, I had a tough time getting the muffins out of the pan so I put the muffin pan upside down on top of a cookie sheet, they came out clean so may use the paper cups next time. This was my first time baking muffins and they were delicious. It's definitely a keeper!
