Excellent recipe and very easy. I made several changes - halved the butter (based on other reviewers' recommendations), halved the sugar (due to personal preference), and replaced the milk with half buttermilk and half lemon yoghurt (all I had in the house). Oh and I used salted butter. The edges were lovely and golden and crispy, while the centre was soft and chewy! Would be good with other fruits, too.

Honey Oat Beer Bread

I can't believe how much I liked this, especially considering how much I hate beer! My only problem with it would have to be that it didn't slice very well. Maybe I left it too long in the oven?

I was wondering why no-one had posted a picture of this, and now I know why. It isn't the most attractive recipe. I think it would look better baked in a pan and cut into bars. Very tasty though. Mine were finished before I remembered that I had wanted to post a picture!

Pumpkin Corn Bread

There was no way I wouldn't like these as I love pumpkin and I love cornbread. Still, I think they could use a little extra flavour. I thought of adding cinnamon but wasn't sure it would go with cornbread. Perhaps vanilla? Or no, I have it - a splash of orange juice!! Next time!

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

Nice dessert, but the crust was a little hard and there wasn't much filling, I guess because it was so rich. Easy to make though, and looked good.

Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Pie

Sooo delicious! Was a bit worried about lack of whipped cream in the filling (which most other similar recipes include), but I think the banana layers serve the same purpose by lightening the cream cheese and peanut butter mix. And I used an extra banana in the filling plus a fourth to decorate the top. Also, it needed a little longer than 15 minutes at room temperature for optimal serving texture.

Black Forest Cheesecakes

These looked nice and were easy to make, but as another reviewer mentioned, the base had the texture of a soggy cookie. I think I prefer the usual method of crushing the cookies, mixing with melted butter and baking beforehand.

Poppyseed Stollen (Mohn Stollen)

Excellent, got rave reviews, looked very professional and turned out great. Only complaint: too much filling (I only used about two thirds of it, otherwise it would have been spilling out the sides). Also, I glazed with melted butter and icing sugar instead of using the fondant - just my personal preference. Thanks for the recipe!

Curried Squash, Garbanzo Bean, and Potato Stew

Very bland, maybe my fault 'cause I left out the onion and cayenne (though I added garam masala instead). Not mushy, though - I mashed half the garbanzo beans and left the rest whole.
