Brown Sugar and Spice Dry Ham Rub

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
This recipe is absolutely THE BEST! We loved it! Used a spiral sliced ham. I coated it with the rub thickly then placed it face down on a rack in shallow roasting pan. Never covered it and it was wonderful and not dry very much like the famous ham stores, only better!

Nana Dot's Irish Soda Bread

This was yummy. Not too heavy. Wonderful hot out of the oven. I did not put in the currants or caraway seeds because I didn't have them. I served this with corned beef and cabbage.

Guacamole

YUMMY! Thank you for an awesome recipe. I added 2 TBSP of Mayonnaise and blended avocados, lime juice and mayo until smooth then added other ingredients. It was excellent even though my advocados weren't as ripe as I would have liked them to be.

Great Recipe. Super easy and delish. I used leftover broth from a beef potroast. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
If I could give this recipe more stars.... I would. I put the seasonings together and rubbed all most all of it all over one 5 lb. chicken. I then cooked it in the slow cooker on low for 6 hours. Then I put it in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 350 to crisp up the skin. EXCELLENT!!! The whole family loved it I'm sure I will make this many times.

Peach-a-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
I admit that I didn't make sure the water was drained off the fruit well before I put the fruit and other filling ingredients together. I'm do wonder if this pie would have been better if I had done that. It wasn't sweet enough and we didn't like the peach and raspberry flavors together very much. If you make this pie be sure to drain or even spin the water off the fruit.

Bacon Quiche Tarts

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
This is a very good no fail recipe. Next time I will add a bit of salt and pepper to the egg mixture. Very good both of my picky kids loved this. I think these would also be good with ham or sausage or any variety of cheese you may like in place of the swiss cheese. Very good just as written also.

Southern Pulled Pork

This is excellent. I followed the recipe exactly as written. I was happy to find southern pulled pork as good as any restaurant in NC right in my own kitchen. You won't know it wasn't smoked in a smoker.

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
This is an excellent recipe. I have made it with ground chuck and ground turkey. We prefer the turkey. I made it with lower fat white meat turkey with excellent results. I just added about 1/4 cup of water. I also add a couple of TBSP of grated parmesan and I use the italian seasoned bread crumbs. We like them with whole wheat spagetti and Paul Newmans Sockarooni spagetti sauce. They are also excellent leftovers.
