Cold Oven Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
This is a GREAT recipe for pound cake. it comes out perfect every time! I've made it like 10 times already and am always asked for the recipe! The only thing I did differently was baked at 325 degrees F for 90 minutes instead of 300. Great recipe!

Egyptian Rose Leaves

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
I Loved these. They were nice and chewy, just the way I like my cookies! They are a little time consuming to shape but the result is nice. I used rose water because I couldn't find the fluid anywere. I used 2 1/2 teaspoons, and got a barely there rose flavor, so I think I'll double it again nex time to 5 teaspoons. Also, I got 55 cookies, not 36. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

Cauliflower-Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
I have to admit, this was pretty good! the only reason this recipe is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a bit bland and I had to add more spices then just salt and pepper. I think nex time I make it, I'll use chicken or vegetable stock to cook the veggies like some other reviewers did. All in all a pretty good recipe!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
These muffins were FANTASTIC! I was a little sceptical when I noticed how thick the batter turned out but they turned out perfect. The only things I did differently was I tripled the recipe because I wanted more then 8 muffins (ended up with 30 regular muffins). I made half of them strawberry as my mom hates blueberries. I used frozen woodland blueberries as that is what I had on hand, so they came out a bit purple but tasted fantastic. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
These pancakes are the best I have ever tasted! Whenever I made pancakes I used to always use the Aunt Jamima mix, but now my family wont let me go back to doing so. Although it's a bit more work making them from scratch, the taste of these pancakes is well worth it! The only thing I did differently was cut the recipe down a bit. It makes A LOT of pancakes! Thanks for the FANTASTIC recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
I have to admit, that when I first notice this recipe contained pudding mixes, I was pretty skeptical as to how these would turn out! I had a recipe that I though was pretty good, but I thought I'd broaden my horizons and try a new C.C.C. recipe. I found in the end, that "AWARD WINNING" is just the way I'd discribe them! My grandmother even liked them and she HATES chocolate chip cookies!! Thanks so much for this great replacement for my previous recipe! They are fantastic!

Blueberry Pinwheels

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
I really hate giving bad reviews, they can be hurtful. But I have to say, these weren't my favorite. I found that the blueberries didn't stay in the dough, so when I was slicing, they would pop out so that when I when to put them on the pan they were a bit of a mess. I ended up pressing most of the blueberries back into the pinwheels before I could bake them. Also I wasen't very fond of the bread dough part, I found that it was pretty tough, but that could have been a mistake on my part, maybe I kneaded too much. My Father and grandmother liked them though! Thanks anyway for the recipe!

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I didn't like these. The coating was great but, since the recipe says to put the fries in one a time, the frying times were different and it's hard to keep track of the ones you put in first so I found that many of the fries where not totally cooked. All in all, not that great. To each his own I guess!

Brown Sugar Spiced Shortbread

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
These were great! I made 1 batch to see what they'd be like and about a half an hour later my Grandemother asked me to make more! My Grandma is notoriously picky so when she asked for more I knew they were a hit! Thanks!

Brown Sugar Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
I have to say that it tasted great! My little brother liked it and he doesn't like anything. the only thing I didn't like (and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is that it wasn't very good looking. It fell way too much and the crust on top cracked and made it unpresentable. But for taste it's great!
