Applesauce Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Great Recipe! I made it to go w/some leftover pork roast. I did not have any ketchup on hand and used 4oz of tomato sauce and a few tablespoons of tomato paste.

Mediterranean Chicken and Orzo Salad In Red Pepper Cups

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Very good salad, either hot or cold. I did make a few changes though; I think it would have been better with a little fresh parsley & I did not serve mine in red pepper cups. Remember to add more vinegar and evoo before eating leftovers!

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
OMG, these are sooo good! I made these for my husband's "bake-off" @ work. I won :) I heeded the suggestions and made sure not to over bake. 16 minutes in my oven. Thanks for this great recipe!

Applesauce Drop Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
These were pretty good. It makes a HUGE quantity, so I would halve it if you're not feeding an army. Also, listen to the directions when it states to make 1tsp size doughnuts. Anything larger doesn't cook all the way through.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
This bread is delish! Like it states, not too sweet, so next time I may add a glaze. The changes I made were minimal. Since I didn't have bread machine yeast & only regular, for a 1.5lb loaf I added 2 1/4 tsp of yeast. I also upped the cinnamon to 1 1/2 tsp.

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
This was a really good base-recipe. I used all the same seasoning as suggested. I, however, put mine in the slow cooker all day. Also, instead of lemons, I stuffed my chix w/unpeeled-garlic cloves. I also added white wine in the slow cooker and made a gravy from the drippings/wine after it cooked all day. Yummmm

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
This is so simple, you would think it wouldn't be wonderful, but it is! I did sub beer for water. I served ours on hoagie rolls, with provolone cheese and a little spicy brown mustard...mmmm...

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
After reading some reviews, I heeded the advice of Gill-G. She suggested 2c oats, 2c milk & 2c water. I also cooked it on the "warm" setting. The result was perfect, creamy oatmeal & no burnt edges.

Chicken Chimichangas

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
Very good recipe! I used the salsa that is posted on the "Black Bean Huevos Rancheros" Also, use the big tortillas! I just had the small on hand and thought I would make it work. Yeah, not so much, they are a pain to keep together when they're so small.

Tomato Peach Chutney

I served this over a cajun-spiced pork chop. The contrast between the spicy and sweet was perfect! I'm definitely going to be freezing some of this for a wintertime treat :)

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
Although, the taste of these pancakes were very good, the pancakes themselves were not. They were very doughy on the inside and I had to continuously add milk to the batter, to make it a pancake batter consistency. I will not be making these again and will probably tweek my own pancake recipe to make pumpkin pancakes next time.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
I have always made box stuffing. This was my first attempt at "homemade" stuffing and my husband couldn't stop raving about it! Changes I made were: *Using bagged stuffing, about 1 &1/2 bags. *I didn't measure my chicken broth. I got consistancy I was looking for like when I make boxed stuffing. *My seasoning was 2 tsp of poultry seasoning, instead of all the other stuff. Perfect way to free up some room in your oven!
