Chewiest Brownies

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
I've been wanting to try this recipe for a while, that it saddens me that I didn't love it! I followed all the steps, the only change I made was that I used 1.5 cups of brown sugar. The dough was impossible to work with and after 30 mins they were still kind of raw. I had to cook them for 20 more minutes and leave them in the oven until they cooled off cause they still seemed uncooked. I let them cool for 5 hours since it looked impossible to slice them, but I gave up and did what I could. The "brownies" would stick to the knife and fall apart. I basically had to scrape them off the greased pan and toss them in a plate (and then they would fall apart). I wanted to serve this to people but I decided not to (good thing I also made jello!). The taste is very good, that's why I gave it 2 stars, but the work and the cleanup is not worth it for me. I don't think I will make these gooey brownies again :(.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
These were absolutely great! They had a smooth golden texture on both sides (something I haven't gotten with other recipes since I use a nonstick pan instead of a griddle). I modified it a bit: since I had self-rising flour, I only used 1tsp of baking powder. I also replaced the shortening (we don't have it where I live) with melter butter. I also only used 1 tbsp of sugar since I was going to use Nutella and it was going to be too sweet. And last, I added a tsp of vanilla extract. Absolutely delicious!

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2007
I made this today and it was great for the amount of ingredients/time it required. I followed the other reviews and added some garlic and little bit of sugar. I didn't have basil or fresh parsley, so I used dried parsley and italian seasoning, and crushed red peppers. Since I knew it was going to lack on flavor because of the basil, I added salt and pepper and more parmesan cheese. I also used rolls (cut in halves) instead of a loaf (took me 15 minutes to be done). I really liked it! It was quick and great for the few ingredients I had at home. Thanks!

Easy Cheesy Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
I did this today and it was so yummy! Very comforting. I did it covered on the oven. I tried it at 350 but it didn't cook completely after 30 mins. I changed up to 425 and it was done in 15 minutes more. Very fast and yummy as a side dish. Thanks for the recipe!
