Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
These are so easy and are so buttery and yes, they fall apart in your mouth! Exactly what I was looking for. I made a chocolate glaze to drizzle the tops with, just for a little extra flair. I baked for 13 minutes and the bottoms are just barely golden brown. I could have left them in a little longer to darken, but I am satisfied with them as is. Also, I used a 1 1/4 in cookie scoop and it worked great!

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
Having about five extra pounds of cranberries, I was looking for something to use them up. I made one batch, then another, and then another (I am making gift goodie baskets for Christmas gifts). I used a mini pie tin that makes six pies at a time and the recipe, as is, makes a perfect amount of batter for the six pies. I plan on making two full sized pies in the morning to take to Christmas Eve dinner with the family. I think I might add a bit of lemon juice just to add a little bit more tartness, but even without that, this recipe is amazing!!!

Jam Kolaches

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Followed the recipe exactly as it says. Easy to prepare, although I also had trouble with the filling melting out during baking. I used red currant jam. After the cookies cooled, I stored in a zip lock baggie. Because of the way the jam melted, I did not include in our cookie tray and kind of forgot about them. Several days later, I found the bag, tried one and LOVED IT!! The texture was perfect and taste was incredible. I am so glad I didn't use them in the cookie trays since it left them all for me, lol. Most definitely making again, and as far as the melted jam, it's ok. It left the right amount in the cookie and it wasn't too sweet or gooey.

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Not my favorite although the family did like it enough to eat. Very alfredo like in texture but not as tasty.

Baked Pears

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
I will try this again with a couple of changes. First off, I will skin the pears and cut into bite size pieces. Then add salt along with the sugar and cinnamon. If that doesn't help the original recipe, I won't try anymore. Disappointed but willing to try one more time.

No Bake Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
Very yummy cheesecake, and super easy to make. I made a few changes as well... Decreased lemon juice to 1 Tbsp, and increased cream cheese to 16 oz as suggested by other reviews. Also, I realized I forgot the graham crackers, and made the crust entirely out of crushed pecan sandies, which turned out great. It was not crumbly at all and not overly sweet either. When I made this, it was for a dinner party that got cancelled, and the cheesecake was in the fridge for three days before we cut into it. Amazing flavor. I will definitely make this again.

Five Flavor Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
This cake was as good as the one my grandma used to make. I left the ingredients exactly as listed and to me, each flavor was unique and wonderful. I used Crisco and flour on my pan, worked great! I store leftover cake in a big ziplock baggie and its maintains moisture for three days or so.
