Cranberry Orange Loaf

Spanish Rice Bake

I did modify this recipe a bit. I cooked brown rice separately and added it to the beef mixture at the end. I substituted salsa for the chile sauce, which I did not have on hand. Also, I used this as a burrito filling instead, dividing the cheese among each burrito. I thought it was good, but lacked a bit of flavor. Will probably add more salsa next time or try it as written, with the chile sauce.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

This was delicious! I did make a few changes based on other reviews. I used a can of diced tomatoes instead of the whole tomatoes. I didn't bother boiling the peppers ahead of time. I also cooked the rice separately and then added it to the skillet at the end to warm it up and mix the flavors. I doubled the Worcestershire sauce and cheese amounts. I cut the peppers in half length-wise, laid them in a baking dish and stuffed them that way. I used tomato sauce rather than the soup and layered the sauce and beef/rice mixture when stuffing the peppers. I poured extra sauce and cheese over the peppers then baked for 40 minutes.

Chicken and Corn Chowder with Thyme

Delicious and easy! I modified this a bit to suit my tastes. I added finely diced celery and carrots to the onion. I substituted 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of half and half for the 2 cups of half and half. I found it needed to be thickened up with a little cornstarch mixed with water. I also added a can of creamed corn. Will definitely be making this again!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Love this simple filet recipe! I followed the advice of others and took the steak out when cooked to my taste and then cooked down the balsamic glaze until it thickened. Yummy!

Sauerkraut-Stuffed Slow-Cooked Pork Roast

Simple and tasty! This is my husband's favorite crock pot pork meal. I use two cans of sauerkraut because we like a lot! I took the advice of other reviewers and sprinkled 2 tablespoons of brown sugar over the sauerkraut. I serve with applesauce and pan sauteed pierogies with sliced onion. Quick and easy weekday meal!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious! I made these exactly as stated, except I doubled the recipe. I gave about half away and everyone loved them! The peanut butter taste is definitely there, but not overpowering. Will make these again!

Slow Cooker London Broil

I read a lot of the reviews prior to making this, so I tweaked this to suit our tastes. I mixed the soups and onion soup mix together and added a chopped onion and some baby carrots. The taste was delicious and my husband wished there was more leftovers!

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

These are quite good! Tender and flavorful! I modified as others have and baked this at 350 for an hour. I put the layered chops and potatoes in a 13x9 glass dish and covered it with foil. After an hour, I took off the foil and cooked for 10 more minutes. Will be making again!

Dog Treats I

I followed some of the other reviewers' advice and substituted the beef buillon and cheese for 1 cup of peanut butter. I also substituted boiling chicken broth for the water. I made these for Christmas gifts from my pup to his doggie friends - every single dog (of all shapes and sizes!) loved these! I couldn't find small cookie cutters, so I just rolled out the dough and cut the treats into different sized rectangles. I also turned these halfway through baking. Wonderful recipe!

Wonderfully tender beef! Veggies would have been better if I could have added them halfway through cooking, as they were overcooked a bit. Will try keeping pieces of veggies on the larger side. Delicious gravy, be liberal with the salt!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Delicious! I substituted sour cream for the mayo and mixed in the mozzarella, as suggested by other reviewers. I doubled it and brought it to a party of about 30 people. No leftovers and several compliments!
