Pumpkin Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
Wonderful. I make these and sell them to my husband's coworkers around the holidays. I've made probably 3 dozen of these and they are fabulous. I don't feel the lemon extract is necessary- doesn't come through at all anyway.

Too sweet and the filling-to-crust ratio is not quite right.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
Made it for a girls' night and everyone raved. I was very surprised at how easy it was to make restaurant-quality hot fudge with ingredients I always have on hand! It was just the right consistency- nice and thick. I'll never have to buy it again!

Chicken Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
probably wouldn't make this recipe again just because it tasted like barbecued chicken in a fried wonton. Not bad- just not what I was looking for.

I thought it was bland and gave all the leftovers to my husband who thought the dish was great.

Granola Bars III

Great!! Love love love this recipe. I used 1/4 cup of brown sugar instead of 3/4 cup- it was plenty. I also used raisins and just a few white chocolate chips. Will make again and again. Thank you!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
I took the advice of another and baked this on a broiler pan so that the grease would drip down away from the meat. LOVED that idea- worked great. I personally liked the meatloaf- very moist, but I did one package of onion soup to 2 lbs of ground beef and still thought it was way to oniony. My husband hates onions and he had a hard time with this one. Next time I will use the onion soup mix put sift out half of the onion flakes. Yummy recipe if you like onion though!

Pumpkin Cheesecake II

Would give it more if I could. Best recipe i've gotten from this site. I didn't have lemon extract, but it was wonderful without. Made for Thanksgiving and my brothers were fighting over leftovers. They want this at Christmas again and next Thanksgiving- a new tradition.

Gelatin-Flavored Popcorn

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
So yummy! my neighbor and I made like 10 batches of all different flavors of jello. Then we mixed it all in a big tub and put them in snack size baggies to give out at Halloween. With all the different colors they looked great! Did learn a lot after so many batches: use half the butter and only 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 3/4 cup. Let the mixture come to a boil and then boil for 4 minutes STIRRING OFTEN! This was easier than dealing with the candy thermometer for me. This will be a family tradition and I can't wait until my girls are old enough to help make this with me!

We used dark soy and I think it would have been better with regular, but still very tasty. Makes a cheap steak much much better

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
very good- kinda tastes like a chocolate peanut butter brownie. I left out the peanut butter chips because I didn't have any and they were still great. Not chewy- very dense. I think next time I might omit just a little flour.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Kind of cakey and very good. They seem to taste better with age, but they get too moist and sticky after a while. so you can't wait too long. The next day after baking these were amazing!
