Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
We loved this recipe hot or cold it was one of the best pies I have ever made and it was so easy!! I did cahange a few things though, I used spelt flour instead of white to make it gluten free, raw suger instead of white, and yogurt instead of sour cream. I also only had frozen berries but it worked out well. I would use this recipe with peaches, blackberries, rasberries, apples... anything.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2013
I've made lots of kale chip in many different ways this is a good start but kind of plain. Try adding some nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor or honey and sea salt. If you have access to a dehydrator they are better but if cooking in the oven becareful they will burn very easily. I also use coconut oil instead of olive. One more thing make sure you use curly kale and not flat, the flat kale tends to be quite bitter. Bet you can't eat just one

Shrimp Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
I thought this was a very good simple fried rice recipe. It is very similar to the dish I order from my fav take out place. I did change a few things though, I added mushrooms and took out the red and green peppers and the carrots because I was making a veggie dish too. The next day I mixed the too together and they were fantastic! my veggid dish had carrots, celery, mushrooms, broccoli, and water chestnuts cooked in a butter sauce that I thickened with alittle potaot starch. The butter sauce gave the rice a bit more flavor and the water chestnuts a fun crunch!

Churros II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
yum yum yum!!! These were great and my kids loved them. They are very easy to make, just make sure the oil is verry hot. When putting the mixture into the oil I used a pair of scissors to cut the right lenght. Also using a ziplock beg is a good idea but make sure they have cooled enough or they will melt the bag.
