Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
I made this again for something different in the Thanksgiving dessert table. It was a big hit that went well with coffee without being too sweet. The kids really like it for breakfast too!

Grandma's Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
This recipe turned out just the way it should. I introduced my nieces and nephews to corn pudding - they loved it! My grandmother always added oysters maybe I'll try that next year. Thank you for sharing!

Momma's Wine Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
Delicious just as written! The aroma while baking was a bit out of the ordinary, but not unpleasant. The cake was super moist and even better two days after making it. There are lots of possibilities for variation and tweaks too. Thanks for sharing.

Braunschweiger and Nut Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
A request filled! My mother asked me to find a recipe like she remembered her grandmother making. I definitely thought this was "old-people" food, but everyone loved it including the kids. Thank you!

Scottish Gingerbread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
De-LIGHT-ful! A delicious cake melding all of the holiday flavors and aromas. It was airy and dense at the same time, it's hard to describe. The flavor was subtle, I may use a heavier hand with the spices next time. Also, I may serve smaller pieces next time or add a frosting (a maple nut was suggested in another review). For the beer, I used Blue Moon. It was quick and easy. I will be making it again. Thank you Carol!

Spinach Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
The name catches everyone's attention and the taste keeps them coming back until the plate is empty! I used a bag of fresh spinach, cut into narrow ribbons, which I added to the onions and garlic sauteed in butter. With lots of leeway to experiment, this recipe is going into my permanent repertoire. Thanks BowlingNut and reviewers!
