Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Unbelievable how simple and easy and yet DELICIOUS this dish is. I keep trying different recipes and our family always comes back to requesting this one. No need to mess around or add things to it, the recipe is delicious as is and also works really well on similarly textured seafood like shrimp and scallops. I do these in the oven for about 8-10 minutes and they come out perfect.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
Absolutely delicious. I baked them for only about 15 minutes because I like my scallops more tender and when I took them out of the oven they were perfect and oh-so-juicy. A little sprinkle of lemon juice on top as they come out all bubbly and cheesy and crunchy from the oven...to die for. Thanks for this amazing recipe :)

Philly Cheesecake

Delicious!! My parents love light cheesecake so beating the whites separately really made this cake perfect for us. Perfect basic cheesecake.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
This is DELICIOUS. And so so so easy. Oh my god. The bread crumbs really make it. Perfect thing for college, I've gotten tired of eating pasta day after day - I can make a big pan of this and it'll last me the week. SO YUMMY. Thanks for a great recipe.

Recipe is fantastic as-is and is easily adaptable. Super easy biscotti and everyone who I've given it to love it. Thanks for a great recipe. This is my go-to for biscotti from now on, no changes.

Dairy Free Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
If you follow everyone's directions and mix the cornstarch with water until completely smooth before adding it to the chocolate soy milk mixture, I promise you there will be no lumps. Texture-wise the pudding was great, and it does thicken a great deal when it's cooling. I used 1/3 cup of raw sugar - if you're making vegan pudding, be aware that white sugar can be bleached with bone char. Unlike other reviewers I found 1/3 cup to be a tad too sweet, and I think the 1/4 cup in the recipe would have been enough, but I've lost my sweet tooth so if you're making this for little kids 1/3 would be a good idea. I didn't think it tasted like regular dairy pudding at all, but I really didn't expect it to, especially since I use pure soy milk and not those blended "beverages". Considering this is nothing more than soy milk, cornstarch, and cocoa, I'd say this makes a pretty decent pudding to satisfy a chocolate craving. Some other recipes recommend adding soy creamer, so I'm going to give those a try, but this basic recipe is so easy, so simple, and tasty enough that there's no point in complaining about it.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
Yet another vote in favour. These actually taste just like cinnabons. I was surprised - I only expected them to be good cinnamon rolls but the texture is spot-on. My only recommendation is to make more of the cinnamon filling, since cinnabons tend to be gooey-er, but I like these the way they are. Fabulous recipe.

Carrot Cake III

Um...what the HECK?! This is SO freaking good! I can't stop eating these! GAH! =) I made the recipe according to instruction and it was AMAZING. The second time I added an extra tsp of cinnamon and nutmeg like other reviewers, and a dash of nutmeg. So. Freaking. GOOD. AAAH. THANK YOU.

Old Fashioned Pound Cake with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
Mmm! Yummy yummy. The cake came out perfectly - texture, taste, colour, everything. Thank you for sharing! I'm a kid so I can't use liquor, but I boiled some raspberries in sugar and water until it became syrupy, and that tasted fabulous with the cake (which was also great on its own). Delicious!

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Deeeelicious. As another reviewer said, make sure you measure your eggs, don't go and separate 12, you might not need that many. Otherwise, perfect. Thanks for posting.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
As other reviewers have mentioned, this recipe tastes really good, but the inside stays mushy unless you cook them for a while at medium heat. Being hungry in the morning and all, this took a tad too long for me, but still they tasted delicious. I'll probably make this again, but I still want to find a recipe that doesn't take so much time.

Cinnamon Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
Oh my flippin' god, these cookies are delicious. I made them with a friend - it was so quick and easy and they taste amaaaaazing. We overbaked them a little (you gotta take them out while they're still kind of soft), but a few seconds in the microwave fixed that. Soo delicious. Thanks for posting!

Mocha Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
A'ight - so, I decided to give this recipe a try despite the horrible reviews, because the only complaints seemed to be about the flavour. I doubled the sugar, and put in more than double the original amount of coffee and cocoa. Everything else I did according to the recipe. It came out nice and spongy and the family liked it, although the recipe only made enough batter to fill one cake pan. Nevertheless, I thought it was tasty and made a good spongy cake, and it wasn't hard the next morning. I'm going to try it again with even more sugar and coffee next time.

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Great basic chiffon cake. I made them into cupcakes, and I didn't have cake flour so I used all-purpose flour with a couple tablespoons of cornstarch. I didn't have cream of tartar either so I used lemon juice. Other than that, no changes - they were springy, moist, and yummy even on their own. The volume's great - the first time, I forgot to add baking powder and they were still light and tender. Thanks for sharing!

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Simple, quick, and delicious. I baked them in an 8"x10" rectangular dish because I didn't have a square one, for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees C. I also replaced the water with milk. No complaints at all - these are perfect fudgy brownies. Thanks so much for sharing!
