Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
Marinate was easy to prepare and delicious .. I left out the lemon juice only because I didn'thave any on hand but felt after tasting the sauce that there was no need for it. I had used a baking dish as suggested but it prevented the pork chops from browning and marinated to adhear to meat so half way throught the cooking process I replace the baking dish with a cookie sheet. I also turned up the heat of the oven from 350 to 375 .. which helped in the browning process .. will make again but may go up a few degrees more on the oven ..

One Dish Vegetarian Dinner

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Family started a tradtion about 3 yrs ago called " Meatless Monday" so I'm always on the look out for new recipes .. Like the others I found this bland and in need of more flavor .. the cheeses were a good idea or a simple cheese sauce for a more " fancy ' mac and cheese ' will probably not make again

Asian Stir Fry Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Very easy to make .. I ( like most others ) used less corn syrup and I didn't have fresh ginger so i used some ground ginger that I had already in the pantry .. I also should mention that I left out the " Spice Islands " with it being so little I didn't see the need to buy any or make so I left it out and never noticed a difference

Creamy Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
My family started a tradition more then 3 years ago we call "Meatless Monday" as a way to save money and to try to get the kids to eat more veggie. I am always on the look for new recipes with ingredients that I am sure to have around the house. Like some of the other suggestions I used fresh broccoli and cauliflower and steamed them until slightly tender and left out the carrots due to the fact that I'm not very fond of cooked carrots :) I also added some famous essence to give it a bit more kick but otherwise stuck to the recipe. It was delicious and will make again with the possibility of adding something more like rice, pasta or makeing it a meat dish ..

Very simple and very easy to make .. My family and I started a tradition 3 years ago we call Meatless Monday .. so in honor of this I used vegetable broth instead of the chicken. and as with the other reviews I cut down on the amount of butter and used half whipping cream and milk. Will definitely make again

Pumpkin Swirled Cheese Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
Recipe was so easy to follow that my husband made it ... We had one slight problem in that the element in our oven broke the Wednesday before Christmas. My husband went to the hardware store to buy a new one on Chirstmas Eve, but it didn't work, so we had to purchase a new oven. Sence the new oven was not do to arrive until after the first of the new year we had to make due with what we had and that was my electric roaster. It came through with fying colors. Will make again only this time in my new oven

Salmon with Creamy Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
About 3 years ago my family started a tradition called "Meatless Monday" .. A few months ago I decided to start another one ... Fish Fridays. Some salmon was on sale at my local store, I came across this recipe and decided to give it a try. I had one problem, while preparing the dish for the oven, sparks flew from inside my oven and I realized the my heating coil burnt through. So out came my electric roaster and I gave it a try. Walla everything turned out great. I served it with a nice rice pilaf and tossed green salad. Even my picky eater enjoyed it, plan on making again.

Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
I was only making enough for 4 plus a bit of leftovers for my husbands lunch, so I cut down on the amount of soup and sour cream to half. I mixed in some mexican cheese blend that I had on hand along with some of Emerils Essence ( I prepare this spice blend rather than buying it to save money and can still use the spices for other recipes) to kick it up a notch. As with one other review I also used the Ore-Ida potatoes with peppers and onions and put the cornflakes, and some sharp cheddar cheese on top the last 15 min of cooking. To save on calories I sprayed the baking dish with pam instead of butter.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Was okay but still needed a little more flavor. I added some garlic with the onions but will probably add some more kind of spice to the gravy mix. I also left out the peas because I don't care for the frozen kind, and my husband doesn't care for peas except fresh from the garden.

Asian Beef Skewers

Very good. I used round steak instead of the flank, and had to use ground ginger because I would never have had used all of the fresh. I also served it over white rice that I cooked in chicken stock.

Jazzed Up Couscous

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Used canned tomatoes with garlic and peppers, plus a little extra diced garlic. As with other viewers, I used canned chicken stock to cook the couscous. I used cheese that I had on hand rather than the pepper jack and it still turned out good.

Mongolian Beef I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Easy to prepare, but a little spicy for my taste as well as for my youngest son. My husband and eldest son loved it, but of course they love spicy food. Will make again but may tone down on the spices and let my husband and son add their own.

Baked Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
I agree with other reviews. I left out the bread, and used beef broth instead of the granules and chopped garlic.. My husband still stated that it needed more seasoning (because he likes things a little on the spicy side) Will make again.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
Needed something quick for dinner a few weeks ago. Husband had gaming night, and eldest son had pep band. was delicious. I don't have a panini machine so I used my griddle and a cast iron skillet to flatten sandwich. Served with coleslaw and put pickle on the side.
