Italian Cheese Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
I made this to go along with some homemade chicken tortellini soup, and I wish I would have done two things different. 1.) used less Italian dressing since I just eyeballed it. It made the bottom of the bread soggy and 2.) left the sandwich in longer than 30 minutes. It wasn't hot enough. I'd say more like 45 minutes is what's needed. I'll try it again, though, and hopefully correct some of these mistakes.

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
Everytime I've made this, it's been a big hit. Even when I can't find the white chocolate pudding mix and have to use regular chocolate pudding, no one's the wiser and everyone comes back for seconds!

Easy Pleasy Mac N Cheesy - US Navy Style

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
My immediate, and extended, family loves this dish. I make it all the time for gatherings. Instead of saltines, I use Ritz crackers and I use 1.5 sleeves, crushed, and mix with 1 stick of melted butter so it covers the entire dish. Nothing like that crunch!

Barbequed Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
I made these yesterday for our family's 4th of July get together. I doubled the sauce recipe for two racks of ribs, brought to a boil in the oven at 400 for 20-30 minutes, then simmered at 250 for an hour...all the night before, marinated overnight, and they were THE hit of dinner. Never made ribs before I saw this recipe, but you can be sure I'll make these over and over and over again.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
I have used this recipe over and over again. Only changes I make is to use a package of Ritz crackers and make sure and turn chicken every 3 minutes for 15-20 minutes. Keeps the coating on and cooks to perfection.

Very tasty. Needs more cheese, though!

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
I substituted sausage for the ground beef, couldn't find frozen ravioli, so I used two packages of cheese-filled tortellini (cooked it) and used a package of pre-shredded Italian style cheese. Definitely a big hit.

Simple Southwestern Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
This was really good. Didn't add the celery, and didn't use as much taco seasoning, but it was delicious!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
These were really good. Had problems with the peanut butter/confectioner's sugar being too crumbly, though, and I never really figured out how to dip a glass in sugar and make the sugar stay on the glass and on the cookies. Will definitely make these again, as I am a peanut butter/chocoholic.

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Of all the recipes I've gotten from allrecipes.com, this has, thus far, been our household favorite. So flavorful and delicious. Next time, we might toss some grilled chicken in the mix! My husband will even eat this "leftover" and he detests leftovers.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
This is the best monkey bread recipe (and easiest) out there! It turns out every single time. I don't bother with the nuts or raisins, and I use 1/2 of the white sugar/cinnamon stated. You don't need that much just to coat the little yummies.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2007
I made this for my husband, who was pleasantly surprised, not being a fan of baked chicken. However, by the end of the meal, we were both "stuffinged" out. Since we cut the recipe in half, I might have still used too much stuffing mix, but other than that, the chicken was moist, tender, and flavorful.

Chocolate Swirls

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
They are good, but like someone mentioned before, there's something missing - - don't know exactly what it is...the first bite isn't what you expect, but they're not bad - just need more flavor.
