To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
After watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy where one of the gals goes crazy and starts baking muffins uncontrollably, my husband and I really wanted blueberry muffins. This was the recipe we tried and I read the tips and suggestions but would like to offer what I discovered. Have two muffin pans if you double the recipe. I tried with just the one, but they were really falling apart when I tried to take them out of the pan, even though the pan was sprayed with Pam. After the second batch was baked, I didn't have time for more than setting the whole pan on a cooling rack before I left. These turned out better, the muffins seem to need to 'set' before taken from the muffin pan. I did double the blueberries, they were frozen and they worked fine. Will definitely make these again!

Lighter Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
Awesome, awesome, awesome! I took these alongwith an oatmeal raisin cookie that I had also reduced the fat content and these went the fastest! I was having trouble with the stickiness of the dough, so ended up using a spoon and then tossing it in the cinnamon mixture, worked great. Tried with the nonstick spray on my hands but had to spray my hands each time which I found to be a hassle.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
The taste was good BUT I found they were a bit greasy. So many here have suggested to double the spices; I don't think they mean for us to also double the butter, just the worstechire, salt and garlic salt :-)

Pumpkin Gingerbread

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
IMPORTANT TIP*** This is delicious, but I only noticed after the bread was in the oven that in the written directions it does not say to add the cloves. They are listed in the ingredient list but not in the written directions. Without the cloves it is alright, but I bet it would have sent it over the top with them! This recipe is a keeper!

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
This is a good cookie but I was missing a bit of that extra flavor you get from the regular tollhouse recipe. These cookies were nice, properly thick, soft cookies. Will make again-------:o)

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
READ THIS ONE!! I followed the advice of a couple of other users and added two eggs to the dough. When I tried these fresh from the oven, I was disappointed. They lacked the Tollhouse taste I am so fond of. HOWEVER!!!! Once they have had time to settle, they taste much better. When I served them that evening, they were fab! My advice is to let them rest :-)

A to Z Everything-but-the-Kitchen-Sink Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
I live in Norway and mace is hard to come by so I substituted ground ginger for the mace. The cookies were delish! And I agree with the author, less baking makes a better cookie! I took these to a party and they were gone in a heartbeat!

Happy Birthday Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
Hey guys, this is a good recipe....I have a business and a client was looking for a white/yellow cake base with strawberry filling and a buttercream frosting. THIS IS IT!!! This cake reminds me a lot of another coconut cake I make that I get lots of rave reviews for. This will be the cake I use for children's parties and adults as well!! Thank you Carol for the recipe!

Mayonnaise Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
The name will put you off. Don't let it. Mayonnaise is only made from eggs, oil and lemon juice - perfection in a cookie. I made these and rolled them into the walnut-sized balls and threw them in the oven. Half way through the baking time I remembered they were to be flattened with a fork. Did that and sprinkled plain granulated sugar on some and colored Wilton type sugar on the others.....wowsers! Really good cookie! Similar to a sugar cookie. Definitely 'a keeper'. Thank you Kay!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Super easy and yummy. I divided the dough in half and added dried cranberries and orange zest to one half and chocolate chips to the other. The ones with orange peel, I made a glaze with powdered sugar, orange juice and a bit of zest. All this for the royal wedding between William and Kate....super yum!
