I started cooking when I was 12. Cooking is a hobby and therapy for me. My 3 children ages 5, 12 and 20 love my cooking. My youngest loves to help me in the kitchen.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Sundays are the best meals and of course more food. Every Saturday we have a big breakfast. During the holidays we eat well from eating pumpkin rolls in the Fall and punch, cheeseball and crackers and different cookies and candies at Christmas. And of course we always get our favorite meal and cake on our birthday.
My cooking triumphs
Catering my sister's wedding for 200 people in 2004. Thereafter encouragement from my coworkers led me to start catering on the side.
My cooking tragedies
When I first got married I tried new dishes. The one and only time I fixed lemon chicken I decided to put 2 extra lemons cut in half in the skillet while it was cooking. It absorbed all of the juice in the lemons and it was so tart you could not eat it. My husband said "honey, I love you but I cannot eat this." Every time I mention lemon chicken I always get the same reaction.
