Decorator Frosting I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This is exactly what I was looking for. I used it for my daughters 4th birthday cake. Having no experience at cake decorating, I found this frosting very user friendly and the cake turned out beautifully. Thanks!

Creamy White Layers

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This is exactly the kind of cake I was looking for. I omitted the Brandy and use Decorator's Frosting from AR.I used it for my daughter's 4th birthday cake. The little ones were not so excited since its different from regular box cake, but I loved it! I will make this again.

Served these at a ladies function and they weren't well received. Not sure I will try this again, but thanks for sharing.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Served these over the weekend at a cookout to mixed reviews. I used store bought dough to save time, but otherwise followed the recipe. I had high hopes for these but something wasn't quite right, not sure what thought. I may try them again.

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Tasted like fried chicken, so hubby and daughter loved it. As for me, I thought it was OK, but I'm not a big fried chicken fan. I will probably make this again for the hubs though. Thanks for sharing.

Served this a recent party and it was hardly touched. I enjoyed it, but when making punch you want a crowd pleaser.

Mock Lobster

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This was delicious. As for tasting like lobster, not really. However it did taste great! I used reduced sodium soy sauce, other than that followed the recipe exactly. I let it marinate about eight hours, turned out juicy and flavorful. This was easy and I will definetly make this again. Thanks for sharing!

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

This was delicious. Made a few changes...real bacon, boneless chop, etc. We enjoyed it, but think I will keep tweaking to get exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing.

Jalapeno Steak

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
Fantastic. I removed the seeds and ribs from the jalapeno peppers. Allow the steak to marinate for 2 days. Very good. Had the jalapeno flavor without the heat. Even my 4 year old loved it. This is a keeper!

Risotto with Asparagus

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
This was my first attempt at risotto. I gave it 4 stars because it was a little bland, however it was still nice and ease my fears on making risotto. I will make this again I just need to tweak the seasoning to my family's taste. Also, I halved the recipe and still had quite a bit left.

Fantastic. The only thing I did different was to sub some of the light mayo for fat free sour cream and added a few drops of balsamic vinegar. YUM! Will definetly be making this again.

Greek Garbanzo Bean Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Reduced the amount of olives, as others had suggested. Accidently only bought one cucumber- will definetly use 2 next time (seeded and chopped). Added a red bell pepper. Will add more feta and only one can of garbanzo beans next time. Used a Roasted Garlic Vinagrette. Made the night before so flavors really had time to mingle. Nice and refreshing. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Perfection

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Pounded chicken thin and used a Roasted Garlic vinagrette for marinade. Let sit overnight. Reduced feta and added ricotta cheese. Added finely chopped baby spinach right into the filling. Omitted mushrooms. Spread extra filling over the top before adding store bought breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan. Drizzled with melted butter. Turned out fantastic. Really impressed my dinner guests. A bit of work, but definetly something I would make again for special company.

Greek Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Cut the serving size in half, but left the lemon zest and lemon juice amounts as they were. Used lemon yogurt. Turned out wonderuful! Moist and lemony, not too tart! Will certainly make this again!
