Spicy Jambalaya

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
This was very good. I would really only have given it 4 stars, but I threw in the extra to make up for the review before mine. There is no strict definition of what has to be in "jambalaya", and even if there were, you're still a pompous clown for giving a 1-star review based on semantics. *Ahem* Sorry. Excellent recipe. I used brown rice, and added extra hot pepper sauce 'cause we like it spicy. Thanks for sharing!

Dee's Health Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
MMmmm... one of my favorite restaurant/brewing companies serves a free loaf of excellent grainy wheat bread with every meal, and I was looking for a recipe that would be similar to theirs. I made this yesterday, scaled down to 20 servings, and ended up with two absolutely perfect loaves. I added 2 tbsp wheat germ and topped it all off with King Arthur's Artisan Bread topping... other than that I followed the recipe exactly, and it is positively marvelous. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Holy Quiche!! I made this as my first attempt at homemade quiche yesterday... absolutely fantastic!! I did cut the recipe in half, as I was only cooking for my husband and I, but it set up perfectly, and I had absolutely no problem with overflow in my 9-inch deep dish. I did make a few minor adjustments to my taste... added chopped green and red peppers to the ham mixture, and a layer of very finely diced jalepenos between the ham and cheese mixtures for an added boost. Absolute perfection!!
