Lemon Posset

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
Delightfully refreshing an SOOOO easy to make! The first time I made it it was a little runnier that I preferred, so I made it again today and put it in the freezer after the 5 hours for about 30 minutes and it firmed up nicely! Also, I stirred it while it was boiling so that it would not scald or burn on the bottom while in the saucepan. I served it with maple syrup sweetened whipped cream and fresh raspberries. It was a wonderful dessert and my guests enjoyed it immensely!

Hot Fudge Sauce II

This is a delicious chocolate sauce! I prefer to make it with 3/4 cup of sugar instead of the full cup--it is still plenty sweet! I have made this many times!

Fabulous Orange Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
Always a hit at baby showers and parties! I usually omit the white chocolate chips and I love to serve it frosted with "Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting" found here on allrecipes. It is also delicious with glazed fruit on top of the frosting as well. Every time I serve this I am always asked for the recipe and it receives MANY compliments!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
So scrumptious! I have made this recipe multiple times and it is simply delicious! I always get RAVE reviews when I serve this! Many people ask for the recipe each time because it is so light and fluffy, not too sweet and refreshing! I have had problems with the cream cheese not incorporating well to where you can still see little pieces of it on the frosting, but most recently when I made it I accidentally whipped the cream with the sweetener, salt and vanilla first. I was hoping that I had not ruined it, but I went ahead and added the softened cream cheese and beat it with a mixer until it was smooth and incorporated. It turned out to be the best "mistake" because the cream cheese incorporated wonderfully with no visible pieces! I like to serve this frosting on "Fabulous Orange Cake" found on allrecipes as well, but it would be great on many cakes.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Made this for our family and it was awesome! The only thing that I did differently was to add a few garlic cloves and one green bell pepper to the meat sauce. Also, I didn't have enough oregano, so I used half oregano and half basil in the sauce. I also added a little salt and pepper to the the cottage cheese mixture then blended it smooth in my food processor! It was so yummy--my whole family was raving!

Irish Cream Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
I have made this recipe twice with sugar as the recipe calls for and once with pure maple syrup to make it healthier. It is scrumptious either way! I recommend using a torch instead of broiling the top to keep the creme chilled.

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
My family and I really liked this--I added some dried basil and some crushed red pepper and a little Parmesan to the sauce, noodle mixture and it was yummy! Also, I did not add the noodles to the crock pot because I wanted to take this to a friend for supper, so after the sauce cooked in the crock pot all day I stirred it with frozen tortellini and about 1/4 c. grated Parmesan in a greased 9x13 dish then covered it with foil and baked it at 325 for about an hour and 15 minutes, then added the remaining cheese on top for about 10 more minutes! So easy and so yum! I will definitely make again as Stated. (I used Ragu Robusto Garlic and Onion Spaghetti sauce, btw for the 2 c. of spaghetti sauce called for.)

Chunky Marinara Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
I was skeptical at first that a recipe so simple could taste so yummy, but this was great! I added a little bit of crushed red pepper and about a teaspoon of dried basil to the sauce and I served it over broiled polenta slices--I took it to a dinner party and they were all asking for seconds! I plan on making this again!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
Excellent recipe! This was made for my husbands birthday party and he really loved this recipe (and he doesn't often gush about recipes!). Everyone else really loved it, too. The only thing I did different was to add 8oz. sliced mushrooms when you add the onions.--Very yummy!

Blueberry Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
My husband and I really loved this recipe--it had great texture, not too sweet and the bluberries were a nice addition to the otherwise traditional bread pudding. I did however make a few changes: I did not have any milk or whipping cream, so I substituted with all half and half. I converted the recipe to 6 servings and after I poured the liquid on the bread mixture it did not seem to be enough liquid to fully soak the bread so I added about another 1/2 c. half and half along wigh one more egg yolk, and it was perfect. I mashed down the bread slightly after pouring the liquid to fully soak the bread. Also, I misread the butter amount for the converted recipe and I only put 1/4 c. butter instead of 1/4c. plus 2 T. butter. The butter was a fabulous addition because it made the top pieces kind of toasty and buttery. I did not use the powdered sugar on top--I poured a little half and half on mine and my husband ate his plain. It was delicious both ways and I will definitely look forward to making this recipe again!
