Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

easy comfort food recipe. Serve over egg noodles. I have made this using frozen whole skinless boneless chicken breasts and it comes out just as good. Longer cooking time if the are frozen and the chicken "shreds" then.

Mocha Truffle Cookies

I've searched the kitchen cabinets for my Grandma's version of this recipe and couldn't find it. I decided to try this one and it is just as good! Nice rich chocolatey coffee flavored cookie.I wouldn't anything about it! Be sure to melt the butter and chocolate slowly so that you do not burn the chocolate. If you do burn it start over or the cookies will be too bitter.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Yum! Good and easy recipe. I did lightly salt, pepper and garlic powder the chicken before layering the cheese on it. I added a little chicken broth to it in the last 10 minutes of cooking because my stuffing was chewy. This helped alot - i may not have measured the milk correctly resulting in not enough liquid for the stuffing to soften propperly. The stuffing on the chicken was actually a little crunchy- like a breading. and the rest of the stuffing was soft to eat on the side. This is a keeper!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Great recipe and super easy to throw together in the morning and have ready for dinner. I used frozen chicken breasts and frozen corn. I used one can rotel and one can diced tomatoes - other than that I followed the recipe to a T! The beer cooks out - you can smell it in the beginning but by the time it was done there ws no trace of the beer smell.

Smoky Four Cheese Macaroni Bake

good recipe. definately a keeper! I do not add the liquid smoke because I'm just not a fan of it, but it still turns out great. I've used different cheeses at different times and its really good. A good recipe to get rid of those half used bags of cheese that I seem to collect!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

I followed this recipe exactly as listed and it turned out great. I used a 5 1/2 lb roast. It turned out very tender. One thing to remember with these Italian Beefs - the meat will be shredded not sliced. I believe sliced is the traditional way beef sandwiches are done. After the meat was done I shredded it right in the crock pot. Keep all the juices. This is where the flavor is! We ate our beef on french rolls that were buttered with butter and garlic. After the meat is on the roll we top with moz. cheese or prov. cheese and put under the broiler for the cheese to melt and toast. Add some giardinera for an extra kick.

Taco Pie

Awesome recipe! I loved it and so did the kids - even the picky one! Here's what I did: I used a 9 x 13 glass dish. I sprayed it with cooking spray. Lined it with the crescent dough and went up the sides of the pan too. Baked this for 13 minutes. Cooked the meat and added one can of ro-tel mild and the taco seasoning. I could see using venison or ground turkey next time. The flavor with the ro-tel is what really came through. I only used 8oz of lite sour cream and even that was alot. Depending on how much you like s.c. you could cut back on it. I used 8oz of mexi-cheddar cheese - alot but perfect - gotta have the cheese! I used half a bag of nacho Cheese Doritos. I baked it another 10 minutes. I would recommend using at least a 9x13 pan. I'm not sure what size square cake pan was used by the lister of this recipe but I wouldn't be able to fit all of this in a 9inch square. EXCELLENT - 5 STARS - IT'S A KEEPER!! (can't wait for leftovers for lunch!)

World's Best Lasagna

This was a great Lasanga! I followed the sauce recipe exactly. I used Barilla brand no boil noodles - easy! Next time I will use more ricatta cheese - just my families preferance. I made it the day before, took it out of the fridge about an hour before baking. I left it covered most of the cooking time and took the foil off for the last 10 minutes. It did take longer to bake than the recipes but this could have been because it was cold from the fridge.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

This recipe is so simple and turns out GREAT!!! Very juicy. I followed the recipe but added some extras. I added a half of an onion to the cavity. I sprinkled it with garlic powder along with the salt/pepper. I used shed spread for my margarine. I think covering it for 30 minutes after it is out of the oven is the key to the juiciness.

Just what I've been looking for!!! Very easy to spread. It dried shiny within 90 minutes. I will be keeping this recipe for all of my cut out cookies. I used Lemon extract.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Very good recipe. It's a little different from the regular pumpkin pie. I used Libby's pie filling. I did add more pumpkin filling to the cream cheese mixture to suit my taste.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Excellent Apple Pie recipe. I used a prepaired crust. After cooking the sauce I added it to the apples and then poured the apples with the sauce into the bottom crust. I used a full top crust (I can not do latice work!)The pie was not runny as I was worried it would be. The sauce added a slight caramel flavor. I did add cinnamon to the apples and brushed the top crust with egg and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.

Baked Pork Chops I

Now I've made this recipe twice. The first time I said I'd never make it again. Well, I made it again (or actually my husband made it) He followed the recipe exactly and they turned out wonderful! Now this recipe is a keeper. I'm glad we tried it again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Sooo yummy!! I've made this quite a few times and it turns out great every time. I've added carrots and potatoes also and they come out wonderful - just like if it was in the oven all day. The gravy is great!
