Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
My 12 year old son made this recipe. Very easy to make and turned out great! We had to make a few substitutions as we didn't have all the ingredients. We used the food processor to chop some choco chips into bitty pieces instead of grating a piece of chocolate. We also used all semi-sweet instead of milk chocolate. We used a white cake mix instead of yellow, and we used the entire package of vanilla instant pudding (5.1 oz). We baked it in a bundt pan. It turned out perfect. Very moist and delicious. We will make this one again.

Two Tone Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
The kids and I were excited to try this recipe. We were careful to keep the two mixtures separate and layered per instructions given from one reviewer. During baking, the whole thing just blended together. It was a disappointment to the kids that our efforts amounted to naught. This didn't stop them from eating every morsel in 10 minutes flat. Even though you couldn't SEE the different batter (white chocolate vs. dark chocolate), you could taste a subtle difference. Yummy!

Quick and Easy Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
I absolutely loved it. It was the best Grilled cheese I ever had. The only things I did differant were use mild cheddar & plop the bread on the gridle before I put on the cheese

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
The biscuit mix turned out way too dry. I had to add more shortening and water in order to salvage it. I don't think I'll use this recipe again.

Amy's Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
These Turkey Burgers were filling and delicious. My son and I made these for lunch and only needed a burger a piece to be full. We didn`t have buns so we used bread slices. We also used fresh garlic instead of garlic powder. I`ll say it again, it was delish.

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Very good chicken. I didn't have any cereal, so used some crushed crackers instead. I will definitely make this again. Using the thermometer to make sure the chicken cooked through was a great idea. Wonderful.

Butterscotch Oatmeal

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
I've made this several times now. My family loves it. The first time I followed the recipe exactly. It was more like a dessert (pudding) than a breakfast, so I've started reducing the butter and brown sugar until the kids protested. I've found that decreasing the butter by half and using 1/4 less of brown sugar keeps us all happy.

T's Sweet Potato Fries

Very yummy. They did turn out a bit flimsy so I'll try some of the other suggestions next time.

The "cookie" part of this dessert was not very tasty. There are so many yummy chocolate desserts out thers, I won't waste my time on this one.

The yummiest dirt cake I've had. I didn't know this was so complicated, but it's worth the effort. DELICIOUS.

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This pasta salad wasn't my favorite. It was good, but I've had better. If I make it again, I would add pickle relish and pimentos. I tried doubling the dressing, but it was still dry.

Ground Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
Loved it! The cream cheese and sour cream combine nicely and this does have a lasagna type flavor to it. I didn't have egg noodles so I used radiatore instead. Turned out great.

Double Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
Dipped in butter and put in casserole dish. I used garlic powder instead of onion powder. If I make these again, I'll omit the powder (garlic or onion) altogether. The dough was too gooey; I added another 1/2 cup flour to get to the right consistency.

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

Think broccoli cheese soup and substitute noodles for the broccoli then bake. Not enough flavor for me. I didn't use American cheese, instead I used part mozzarella and part cheddar.

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
I've tried crepe recipes before without success. These, however, turned out perfect. They tasted great and looked so beautiful. Cooking them on low heat for only 30 seconds helped. We topped these crepes with vanilla pudding and blueberries.
