Calico Bean Casserole

Reviewed: May 27, 2014
Dee Dee this was a great dish. I am sorry that I didn't follow your recipe exactly because I listened to others and added less brown sugar, when it definitely needed what you recommended. However my husband and I really loved it. I will definitely make it again for my barbecue this weekend.

Fantastic recipe. I use the puffs to make appetizers for special occasions. I fill them with chicken, shrimp or ham salad for little finger sandwiches

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2013
Excellent, and easy one pot meal. the only change I made was I added a bottle of beer, it added GREAT flavor to the sauce. I'd give it more than 5 stars. It's not just for St. Paddy's Day!!

Chicken with White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
I loved this recipe. I cooked fresh sliced mushrooms with the shallots. I didn't have the Swanson broth so I used chicken stock. I added a little corn starch to thicken the broth and white wine sauce and served it with rice pilaf. Fast, easy meal.

Zippy Barbecue Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
This is the best barbecue sauce recipe ever. I followed the recipe exactly, but doubled it as I was making it for a pork butt in the slow cooker. The aroma in the house made us craving the pork all day. I used about a cup of it to cook the pork in and added more to the pulled pork when I served it. DELICIOUS! Why buy those expensive sauces with lots of additives when you can make a great sauce with ingredients I have in my pantry. Thank you Havicc.

Perfect Ten Baked Cod

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
Great, easy and quick dinner. I loved the combination of lemony flavors in the cracker crust. BUT for my taste, the next time I will use 1/4 sleeve of crackers. The crust was too thick on my cod fish. When I baked it, I sprinkled the scallions over the top of the fish and cooked them as well. Great recipe Pam. Thanks.

Zucchini Tomato Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
This was great! It was a quick, delicious and meat free meal. I used canned plum tomatoes, they worked well, they tasted so good with the Parmesan cheese. I cooked veggies in a fry pan before adding to pie pan. Will definitely make again. Thanks VEGAS

Frank's® Red Hot® Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Great taste but I like the texture of layering the ingredients. 1 8 oz. cream cheese spread in bottom of 8 1/2 x 13 pan, top with chicken mixed with hot sauce, top with mozzarella or cheddar cheese, drizzle chunky blue cheese salad dressing over top. You can heat this in the oven or microwave. and Frank's Red Hot sauce is the BEST!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but my roast didn't cook. After 2 1/2 hours my thermometer registered 125 degrees. I had to turn on my oven and cook it an additional 1/2 hour at 425 so my family could eat. I used an envelope of onion soup mix as a rub. The gravy was awesome.

Carne Guisada III

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
The longer you cook the more tender your meat chunks become. I make a guisada similar to this. My PR relative adds Goya capers and olivers and a cup of red wine> delicioso!

Prime Rib

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
I was disappointed with this method of cooking my expensive prime rib. It was too rare. My oven had cooled and too late to reheat it. We were so hungry we ate it anyway. Next time I'll cook it at the 500 temp another half hour.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
I love this casserole. Great to make ahead for a crowd for breakfast. Easy to reheat in the microwave. I use Jimmy Dean's breakfast sausage, I think it has the best flavor. Instead of bread I add a cup of flour. It's just like an impossible pie and creates it's own crust. Thanks Gayle.

Bread Machine Rolls

These rolls are EXCELLENT. Not sweet or dense like some other reviewers said. The only thing I did different is brown them by cooking them an additional 5 minutes. Perfect. Thanks for this new Thanksgiving roll for my family dinner.

Thighs on Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
This was a great and easy supper. I sauteed the onion and 1/2 lb of chopped mushrooms in 2 tbs. of butter. (I did not use the Italian seasoning) When they were soft I added 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup chicken broth and poured it over 1 cup of uncooked rice. I cut 4 boneless, skinless thighs in half and seasoned them with Goya adobo (it's a salt, pepper and garlic seasoning) placed them on top of the rice mixture. The only problem was the rice on top did not cook. I removed the chicken after 45 minutes, added another 1/2 cup of chicken broth to the rice, mixed it well and baked it for another 15 minutes. It was delicious and the chicken was very tender. I'll definitely make this version again.
