Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I made this a tiny bit differently based on what I had in the house tonight. I used one block cream cheese and only half a cup of sugar, added a dash of lemon juice and added a layer of diced up a can of apple pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer and sprinkled on some cinnamon sugar, then followed the recipe for top layer then butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on the very top. It was not too sweet and my husband loved it. We will try it tomorrow and see if it improved overnight. Can be a very adaptable recipe

This a terrific recipe!!!!!!! I accidently used Sciracha??? Chinese Hot Sauce before I realized the recipe called for Heinz Chili Sauce. We loved it so much that the second time I used the Sciracha sauce AND some Chili Sauce. Sometimes mistakes are right on:)

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I do believe this tastes a good bit like a Sara Lee pound cake. It gets better each day, but still a tad too dry. This cake was okay, a bit too dry for my family. I did add the 1/4 cup of buttermilk someone suggested. I now realize that was the only liquid except for the eggs. I much prefer the five flavor pound cake from this site. This cake was dense and good flavor, but not what I was looking for.

Five Flavor Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
I made this cake last night and ate 1 piece, it was good. I ate 1 piece this morning and WOWWOWWOWWOWWOW! I is bakery quality and beyond! I used evaporated milk instead of regular milk, out of regular, and after I glazed it I sprinkled sugar in the raw on top as suggested on a review and the sparkle and crunch topped it off perfectly!!!! This is the best cake I have ever tried and I actually made it from scratch.

Chocolate Creme Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
I made these for my daughters teenage friends for movie night. They loved them and said they tasted just like ho-ho's! I did add some powdered suga to the filling to make it a little sweeter and drizzled warmed chocolate icing on top just before serving. These reminde me of a choc Sundae Cake we used to enjoy at Shoney's back in my teen years.
