Cranberry Eggnog Cornbread Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
These were a huge hit at a brunch I hosted. I kept them warm by using a warming plate, and the next time I might take one viewers suggestion and add a few eggnog spices for that extra flavor. Thanks!

These are great and quick - and very easy to do without a bread maker. Thanks!

Eggnog I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This was a good drink, but it really tasted more like a creamy vanilla drink than Egg Nog. I added 2 more eggs to it and a bit more nutmeg to drown the vanilla and whip cream flavor, but on its own its still a decent beverage :)

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I used a 9x13 pan and that seemed to be perfect for me. Nice thin bars with no mess, and they were really quick and easy to throw together :)

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
This really hit the spot, but maybe I agree with the other reviews when they say there's too much sugar. I'll cut that just a bit next time. Thanks for the recipe!!

Berry Shortbread Dreams

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
This was an excellent, buttery cookie! I made them with vanilla extract and strawberry jam because that was what I had on hand but I'm excited about trying a lot of other flavor combinations with this recipe. Thanks!!

Sunburst Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
I love these, but I dont care for them much once they're 2 days old. I tried them in the fridge, or in an air tight container just on the counter and both times I thought they didnt age well. But in the first 24 hours, they're amazing!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
An excellent side dish to roast chicken! I used the chicken drippings with the broth for an even richer flavor, and a bit of chopped, fried bacon. I went easy on the parmesan, I preferred it without.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
What a great recipe! The caramel stayed chewy and gooey but firm enough that I could press it into a springform pan and set it as a birthday cake for my popcorn junky sister (click on my profile to see the pic). It was a huge hit :)
