My family and I love this meal. I used chicken broth instead of water as suggested by others. Also, I used 5 cans of creamed corn and alot more potatoes as we like it a bit more dense then the original receipe. Delicious!

I have made gingerbread cut outs for years. Last year I wanted to make something simple and different. I made this recipe and couldn’t believe how good they were. We quickly went through my first batch, then I made a batch for work, those went quick (as well as several requests for the recipe). I made them for the extended family on Christmas and they were such a hit my aunt asked for these for her Birthday in May. They really are that good! I did use ANIA520’s tips for the dough and OJ, but minimal adjustments for sure. Great recipe, I’m about to make this year’s first batch!

I am going with a 4 star, because I changed a large part of the recipe... The chili. After reading other's reviews, I made it with my chili recipe and I would recommend using your family's favorite chili. The chili portion of this recipe calls on a lot of pre packed spices and I am just not a fan of that flavor. I did follow the remainder of the recipe, except I held the tortilla chips to add after baking as one person suggested. The macaroni and cheese portion of this recipe is really good and being mac and cheese instead of plain noodles added to this twist on Chilimac. The family really liked the combo and it was a big hit.
