This was a great recipe. I used 5-6 cups of berries just to fill up my pie plate. I also added some lemon juice as other reviews had suggested. I also always use America's Test Kitchens fool proof pie crust recipe (with vodka in it). My husband finished one pie in 2 days and asked for another. Yum.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

These are excellent... but don't make unless you want to eat the entire batch at once... we've done this twice already. I only needed about 4cups of flour, and I used bread flour instead of regular. Yummo.

Bagels I

Very good basic recipe to work off of. I have made them plain, added cinnamon and plumped raisins to the dough, dipped in "everything" spices, used dried apples. the possibilities are endless. thanks for a great recipe!

Blonde Brownies I

GREAT! This recipe is wonderful as is. If you mix in the choc chips, they become harder to cut (if you can't wait until they cool). I sprinkle them on top.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

These were fabulous. I added about 1tsp of vanilla to the dough. Also grated frozen butter into the dough (as I heard on TV) to distribute perfectly. Split the dough into two pieces and folded craisins and white choc chips into one and lemon zest and frozen blueberries into the other. I had to cook them longer, but could be my oven. They are WONDERFUL.

this was amazing. i made the crust out of gingersnaps and pecans mixed with butter and pressed into a springform pan. this was a huuuge hit for christmas.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

These are very cakey cookies. I ended up adding probably another 1/2 cup of flour to make the dough the right consistency and also used more orange zest. great flavor but i prefer fudgey cookies.

Apple Pie

This pie is great! I've made it 3 times so far--each with a different kind of apple, all wonderful. I forgot the butter and turned out wonderful so haven't used it since.

Spinach and Leek White Bean Soup

very good. I used rosemary and thyme instead of cumin for a different flavor. I also used the entire leek, not just the bulb.

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies I

These were ok. They didnt spread out, but cooked perfectly in 10 minutes. I also added some mollassas for the sugar and cinnamon for flavor. they were a little dry after the first day though.

Granny's Banana Bread

This recipe was great. I followed the measurements almost exactly. I added extra spices, used spenda instead of sugar, half whole wheat and half white flour, and used 2 loaf pans insead of 1. It was so moist but not dense. amazing.

Blueberry Nut Oat Bran Muffins

Pretty good. I used blueberry yogurt instead of the applesauce, and used 1.5 cups. Also used walnuts instead of pecans. Very good, earthy flavor.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

This was GREAT. I made it for my boyfriends birthday and it sealed the deal. I substituted eggbeaters for the eggs, used light sour cream, and used applesauce for half of the butter to make it a little healthier. I also substituted espresso for the water. The cake was super moist and very yummy, not to mention EASY. I frosted it with Satiny Chocolate Glaze from this site.
