I am a mother of 2 young children. I love to try new things. We definitely love asian food and meat. I love to bake cookies for the family, not only because I can substitute in whole grain/organic ingredients but also because my eldest child has a peanut allergy.
My favorite things to cook
Pastas; quick, easy and healthy and kids love them. Grilling meat especially pork ribs and prime rib steaks. Love to bake cookies and muffins.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas dinner at my moms always has sausage/bread stuffing and green beans roasted with bacon and almond slivers... yum. Also Christmas Eve we always did appetizers for dinner, like baked brie and pate.
My cooking triumphs
Made my husband a traditional black forest cake for his 40th birthday. First time ever baking cake from scratch, it was a lot simpler than I had expected and ssooo delicious.
My cooking tragedies
Omelettes: I suck at them, but my husband makes an amazing omelette. Baked brie... too much dough and cut into to early, spread everywhere.
