About this Cook
I love to tinker around in the kitchen, either modifying existing recipes or just throwing things together to see how it comes out.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort food
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandfather taught me how to cook. My favorite memories are helping him make supper before my grandmother got home, listening and watching as he would tell me "don't tell your grandmother I just did that, she would have a fit".
My cooking triumphs
I made a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake (got the recipe off here!) for a friend's wedding cake, that was a big hit!
My cooking tragedies
I always seem to burn the bottoms of the brown n serve rolls at Thanksgiving. It's become a family joke.

Best Buttercream Frosting
This was the lightest, fluffiest frosting I have ever eaten. Not too sweet. I used this for cupcakes for a friend's wedding and it got rave reviews! I took the advice of another reviewer and beat the flour mixture in for about 15 minutes on high in my KitchenAid. Turned out beautiful! For optimum flavor you really should make it the day before.

Bangin' Banana Bread
This was fantastic! All the recipes I've tried always seem to not have enough banana flavor, or turn out too dry. Not this one! My husband and daughter loved it. Keeper!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake
I made this a few years ago as a friend's wedding cake. The swirls of raspberry made it look gorgeous. The purpley color with the cream matched her wedding colors perfectly. Looked awesome with a bit of lavender and cream ribbon tied around the edges.
