Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
I would have given this 5 stars but it was, indeed, a little dry. I added poultry seasoning as others have suggested and next time I will marinate the chops before prepping. All in all, an excellent recipe though!

Very tasty! I would do like it seems most others are doing and increase the whiskey and omit the vanilla.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
Was looking for something reasonably healthy for dinner tonight and I'm glad I found this! I did as others have suggested and added cinnamon to the onions about midway through the 35-40 minutes I cooked them. I also added cumin to the lentils and (brown) rice and this dish turned out to be wonderful.

Sweet Polish Sausage

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
I took the suggestion of so many others and boiled the sausage for about 10 minutes and then put everything in the crockpot. The only change I would make would be to add more hot sauce but we tend to prefer spicy food. Thanks for an excellent recipe!

An excellent chili recipe. The only change I made was to double the spices (I like it hot!). Other than that it is a perfect recipe

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
HEAVENLY! I followed the suggestions of others to let ingredients come to room temperature first. I also put a pan of water on a rack under the cheesecake - followed everything else to a T and it was awesome!

Made this recipe as is and it was fantastic. I served it over jasmine rice and both my husband and I agree that nothing needs modifying at all!

Irish Tea Cake

This turned out beautifully. I had 8" round cake pans and that was a bit of a mess in the oven but it still was excellent!

Bubba's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
Fantastic! I modified it just a little. After cooking the bacon, I added cut up chicken & sausage and cooked that, removed it from the pan and added my vegetables and then proceeded with the recipe. I also used only about 1 1/4 cups rice and ended up adding about 2 1/2 cups of water as we prefer our jambalaya a little more on the soupy side (and it was still thick).

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
Wonderful and easy! I took the advice of others and dredged the beef in flour (mixed with garlic powder and black pepper) before browning it. I then deglazed the pan with red wine. I also decreased the amount of carrots and added a small rutabaga. All in all a fantastic stew.
