Grilled Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Excellent! I made this recipe this weekend and served it over linguini which I tossed in a second batch of the marinade that had been heated through. We will definitely have this one again.

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
I made these pork chops tonight and followed the recipe and cooking directions exactly. One of the butchers at Wegmans cut my chops to my specifications and also offered to make the pocket for me! DH isn't a huge fan of pork, but did a good job of cleaning his chop! We both agreed that we would like to try this stuffing in some chicken breasts as well. This meal is definitely company-worthy.

Sensational Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
We had this steak sandwich for dinner last night. My husband, who is not a big beef eater, really liked it. It's great on the french bread. I did not use the slow cooker method, but instead cooked on the stove top and sauteed the onions & peppers separately. I did omit the mushrooms because husband will not touch them and I did not have any red wine, so that was omitted as well. I did not make the optional horseradish/mustard spread because I didn't feel the sandwich needed it. We will definitely have this again when I'm craving a good steak sandwich.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I really liked this dough. The only change I made was to use olive oil. I made our pizza in a deep dish pan and it rose up nicely. Will definitely use this dough recipe again and again.

Creamy Italian Dressing I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
I made this and brought it to an office luncheon yesterday and it was a big hit. Everyone wanted the recipe! I took the recipe writer's suggestion and used about 1/4 cup chopped of a mild white onion and we didn't find the onion taste overpowering at all. I will keep this recipe in by recipe box for sure!

Hearty Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
My family enjoyed these sandwiches very much. I did add an egg to the recipe and some parmesean cheese, but otherwise didn't change a thing. Meatball sandwiches can be a little messy at times and this one really solves that problem.

Grilled Cod

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2014
Absolutely delicious....my husband and I gobbled this right up! I buy a lot of cod and love to grill so I'll be making this recipe many more times. I followed the recipe exactly as far as the ingredients list, but did cut down on the Cajun seasoning.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2011
Made this for a family get together last weekend. It was gone in minutes! Bonus points because I didn't have to turn on the oven. I used packaged cookies for the crust but used Wegmans yummy store-baked chocolate chunk cookies for around the sides. I used choc chip cookie dough ice cream for the first layer and then regular vanilla for the "balls" on top drizzled with hot fudge and decorated with mini M&M's.

Exchange Gang Pasta with Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
Really a great recipe! I made it as written except I did omit the mushrooms as the DH doesn't like them. Also, I added the tomatoes just after I wilted the spinach down.

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
I was looking for a recipe for swedish type meatballs to serve with noodles and this is the one! I prepared a day ahead so that I could reheat for dinner the next night and this worked fine. I used the nutmeg as called for in the recipe and quite liked it. I subbed dried parsley for fresh as I didn't have any and I used golden mushroom soup. I also added about 1/2 cup of sour cream and a little worchestershire sauce to the sauce/gravy.....a little extra water too as I was really trying to stretch the sauce. I will definitely make this again and I will double the sauce next time. Very good recipe!

Horseradish Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I made these eggs yesterday and love the horseradish in them although I probably didn't use quite a tablespoon because I cut back on the mayo a little and also use a little dijon mustard in my eggs (in addition to the ground mustard). Very good! I did not use the dill weed however because I've never really been a dill fan.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
What a great scalloped potato recipe. I made these tonight to have with our New Year's ham and my mother-in-law said it was a very pretty dish when she saw it......must be the paprika! These potatoes were so creamy. I didn't find it necessary to change this recipe at all nor will I the next time I fix them.....there will be a next time!

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
I made these potatoes for Easter Dinner and we really enjoyed them. I did cut the recipe in half because there were only four of us, and had plenty for leftovers. This will be my new go-to mashed potato recipe for big holiday dinners. Definitely cuts my time in the kitchen on the day of the big meal.

Lemon Cooler Cream Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I'm a huge fan of the Jello poke cakes anyway because I love refrigerator cakes. This one is especially good. I did only use 1/2 cup cold water for the Jello mixture, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly using the Jello brand sugar free products and lite whipped topping. Tastes great!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
This is super easy to make and it's a great dessert! I ended up making the entire recipe as written but only used one over-sized deep dish graham cracker crust and ended up with a nice thick pie. I had a little filling leftover, but that's okay. I garnished with chopped peanut butter cups, Reese's chips and a drizzle of peanut butter that I made out of melted Reese's peanut butter chips with a little cream. It was almost too pretty to cut in to, but we did and enjoyed very much. Great recipe.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
I followed this recipe with the exception of using 2 cans of the reduced fat/sodium cream of chicken soup and adding some sliced sauteed onions. Our family did not find it too salty at all and we enjoyed the meal very much with some mashed potatoes, green beans and dinner rolls. I will definitely be making this recipe again in the future.

Sparkling Holiday Jam

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
Very easy recipe to follow and I hadn't made any kind of jelly/jam since I was in Home Economics class in high school so I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. I did use frozen strawberries in place of the fresh and used fresh cranberries. I gave jars away to family and girls in the office at Christmas.

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
I made this Christmas Eve and then warmed up for our annual Christmas morning breakfast. I think it was even better the next day. I scaled the recipe for 6, but left the sausage at 1 lb. Let me just say that this was a big hit and it's now going to be a permanent in my recipe box!
