Bar-B-Que Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
This is our go to BBQ Sauce recipe! I wont buy it in the stores anymore. Since we have some young eaters to please I skip the red pepper flakes and add a little honey. Perfect every time! Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
Sad to say I was not impressed at all with this dish. Followed the directions exactly and it was just not good. My husband said it was "ok" and ate most of it but after two bites I threw mine out. The texture of the cream cheese was very off putting and the flavor was just "wrong" I wont be making these again.

Fantastic smoothie! I used frozen strawberries and pre froze my banana so I skipped the ice all together. It's unbelieveably good!

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Unbelievable pasta salad! I made this for a party and it was a huge hit. However the second time I make it (just for myself) I didn't care for it. I realized that the first time I did the recipe 1 and 1/2 (16 oz of pasta ect.) but I only had one package of ranch mix. The second time I used exactly the amount called for and couldn't eat it. This last time I made the recipe (for 7) with 8oz pasta and only 2 tbs ranch mix and it was perfect. As is I'd say WAY too much ranch mix and parred down a little it's amazing. Add in lots of yummy veggies (I do cucumber, olives and carrots) top each bowl with bacon before serving (otherwise it gets soggy) and voila! You wont be able to stop! Thanks for the recipe!

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Fantastic! I changed a few things only based on what I had and what we prefer. I used an 8oz can of tomato sauce w/garlic, half a pack of fajita seasoning, about a tsp of garlic powder and added water immediatly to cover the chicken. I wound up simmering it a bit longer after shredding, about 20 min with the top on and another 15-20 with it off. We LOVED this recipe and will use it again for sure. Thanks!

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This is the BEST egg salad recipe I've come across and believe me I've tried a lot! It absolutely leaves things open to add or take away what ever your family prefers. I used about half the mustard since we're not big mustard fans, added about 2tbs finely chopped white onion, a pinch of dill and sprinkled paprika over the top. Even after eating a big sandwich we couldn't help but stand over the bowl with a spoon to finish it off. Will use again and again.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
The BEST Banana nut bread ever! I followed the recipe for the bread exactly but did add a crumb topping, it was good but this bread will be good with or without it. One tip, hand mix everything, it makes a difference in how dense your bread is and careful it makes a TON but I'm sure none will go to waste. I did one loaf pat at 325 for 45min and 2 pans of mini loaves at 325 for 20min each. They all came out perfect. I will never use another Banana Nut Bread recipe again!

Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
It was edible which is the best thing I can really say about this. The flavor wasn't bad but I did not like the texture, really it was a mess of beef and soup topped with cheese and soggy tots. Dont know what I expected with the recipe but it was more than I got.

Hot Shredded Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
Wonderful!! I cut it in half, used left over chicken from the crock pot chicken on this site and cream of chicken because it's what I had. Seasoned with a little lowrys and garlic powder and thinned with a splash of milk. Served it on toasted hoagies and it was gone in a blink! I'll be making this again and soon!

Pasta with Peas and Sausage

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
I wasn't overly impressed with this as is. The sausage tasted a little odd to me with the other ingredients. I will probably make again but omit the sausage all together and just have pasta and peas.

Mock Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
This was SUPER delicious. It was gobbled up by everyone in my family, including my 2 year old. I didn't change anything at all - although I think next time I may try baking it because it was pretty greasy. I will be making this over and over again!

Quick and Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
SOOOOO good! I had to change a few things just because of what I had on hand. I added about a cup of milk, used one can of peas, about 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, added a bit of pepper, salt and onion salt and topped it with some crushed saltines mixed with melted butter. I baked ita bout 20 min at 350 and it was perfect. We will make this again for sure!! Just a note: this makes MORE than enough to feed 6-8 people.

Loved it! Took this to a BBQ and everyone raved about how great it was. Only thing I did was do the recipe for 9 - I added about 3/4c more mayo and didn't have any celery on hand. Will make again!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

So good! I stuffed the cavity with a white onion and some garlic cloves. I also cut an peeled back the skin and seasoned on top of the meat then recovered with the skin to keep in moisture. It was fall off the bone and the meat was so flavorful. I cooked it for 4 hours on high because I was a little short on time.
