Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
This recipe is a keeper. My beater is broken, so I liked that this didn't really require a lot of creaming, since the butter is melted. I cut the butter down to 1/2 C and added some applecause, and they still turned out very well. will make again.

Scottish Oat Scones

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
This was okay. It needs more liquid.... maybe more milk? it was very dry and crumbly, will probably try again, with a little more liquid next time. Easy to make with a 3 yr old to "help".

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I liked these muffins, very easy for my 3 yr old to help me with. I used 1 1/4 C whole wheat flour, and 1/4 C Bran, reduced the sugar to 1/2 C and added some choc chips into the dry mixture. I made mini muffins and they were really good. Need to try it with the apple sauce instead of the butter ( i didn't have any at home..). Will make again many more times....

No Roll Pie Crust I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
This is good for quiche, not really for a top crust, - tried it on chicken pot pie, and I really didn't like it. But it was good for quiche.

Orange Almond Biscotti II

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
very simple, easy recipe, I have made this many times now, and I prefer it to the store bought biscotti. I have added cranberries, white chocolate chip and coconut flakes for a change ( depending on what I have at home)- it always comes out so well.

Jansson's Temptation (Janssons Frestelse)

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
This was really easy and yum. I used normal anchovies, ( I soaked them in milk for a few hours before using them, and drained). I used both red and white onions ( thats what I had ) and I cut the potatoes into strips. I had to use a little more cream ( I think my potatoes were quite big) and I baked it earlier - took a little longer than 45 mins. and then reheated it close to serving. Will make again.....

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
Great Soup, my 2 year old ate all of it!! I grated the carrot and the apple. I didn't use cream. Like another reviewer suggested I took about one cup out and blended it until smooth and added it back in to thicken. I also doubled the rice, and added a squeeze of lemon at the end, with a little bit more pepper. ( I also used garlic with the onion at the start of the cooking).

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
Thank you for the recipe, I have made it twice now, and everyone loves it, including my 17 month old. I didn't boil the Veges before, but I put them into the sauce while it was cooking. I added mushrooms and broccoli too. I didn't have celery salt, and I used a fresh garlic instead.
