Asian Glazed Chicken Thighs

Very yummy. Somehow I ended up with too much liquid, probably because I baked the chicken instead of grilling or roasting. I basted about 4 times thought so the chicken did have a nice sticky coating.

Creamy Pumpkin Pie

This is a good basic pumpkin pie recipe. I also cut down the amount of pumpkin to two cups because I wasn't using my big glass pie pan. If I were, I might leave it at 4 and see what happens! Thanks for the recipe.

Pumpkin Bread IV

I made this with roasted pumkin and it was delicious. Thanks for a great recipe! I changed the spices only because I also made a pumpkin pie on the same day and wanted some variety. So I used cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, allspice and some black pepper!

Vietnamese Rice-Noodle Salad

I would give this 10 stars if I could. I LOVE this dish and never thought it would be so easy to make at home. Please give the real fish sauce a try it just adds something special. I think people are intimidated by there being fish in it but Worcestershire has anchovies and it's common. Anyway, I used serrano chili just a personal preference and added some grilled chicken. Next time I will make more sauce. Thanks so much!

Beef Stroganoff III

Amazing with some purely personal changes. The basic recipe for this is great. I just added some things that I like. Such as using yellow onion instead of green, adding garlic, using fresh mushrooms. I followed other's suggestions and marinated in the wine & some soy sauce first. I browned the meat and added the marinade when cooking the mushrooms, onion, garlic. I think what really makes this dish though is the mustard. I used grey poupon. I also used some cream cheese and the added the sour cream. Thank you so much for this recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions

This was really good. The meat was amazingly tender. I read the reviews first and changed a few things just to my taste but I will definitely make this again. I also made this in a cast iron pan so that I could just transfer the whole thing to the oven. I also cooked it in the bacon drippings and used thyme and rosemary but that is just a taste thing. It was very quick and easy.

Maple-Glazed Pork Chops

Delicious but not enough sauce for my husbanc! Next time I'm doubling it. I put some cajun powder on the chops before flouring them. I also added green apple slices to the pan as I browned the pork and then I let them finish cooking in the sauce. I did not use all the cornstarch/water mixture as I don't like it that thick. I just eyed it. Like others I just put enough brown sugar to cover the chops, about a tablespoon each. It just depends how sweet you like it. Thank you!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

This recipe made the moistest turkey ever! This was my first turkey and I was so worried about it being dry. Thank you so much for such a wonderful recipe. I changed the herbs since I didn't have the ones required and it was amazing, everyone raved about it. I used poultry seasoning, sage, marjoram and a bit of tarragon. The gravy from that was to die for. I also sprinkled some Lawry's seasoned salt but not too much. I will use this recipe over and over again. Thank you so much! Update! This is my third year using this recipe. I will never cook it any other way. Thanks so much and I'm glad to see other people enjoy it as much as we do!

Marian's Creamed Corn

Delicious! Everyone loved this when I took it for Christmas dinner. I did change it a bit. I reduced the sugar, added green onion and salt/pepper, a bit of cayenne and I only had 1/2 a package of cream cheese so I used an equal amount sour cream. I also used ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs. But this was all personal taste and this was a good recipe to base my changes on. Thank you!

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce

I must agree that the sauce is delicious. I cooked the fish as per the recipes except I put some butter on the fish to keep it moist. I usually am scared to cook white fish as I've dried it out before but this turned out perfectly. I also really really liked ths sauce with the steamed brocolli I had with the fish. Update - I use this sauce recipe ALL THE TIME!

Homemade Biscuit Mix

Thanks for the recipe. I was making biscuits this morning and had no biscuit mix. Luckily I looked on this site and of course someone came through! I will use this from now on as I don't like to use prepacked stuff when homemade is so much better and this was so quick and easy. Thanks!

Mini Sour Cream Biscuits

Delicious and so easy! I didn't even put them in muffin tins, I just dropped them onto a baking sheet and made biscuits and gravy. I woke up this morning with a biscuit and gravy craving but I had no milk. Most bisuit recipes need milk, the sour cream added the right touch and made them very light and delicious!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Excellent cookies! My boyfriend's favorite cookie. I agree with another poster that using only whilte sugar is perfect for the white chocolate to really shine. I eyed the amount of chocolate and nuts but that is only to my taste cause I like more cookie.

Dump Cake IV

This is the first time I've ever made a dump cake, only heard about them last week. I read through all the recipes on here and the reviews. What I learned was to add instant vanilla pudding to the cake mix and grate the butter over the top. I forgot to add walnuts and coconut in the last ten minutes and I had to cook it longer than the directions said. About 10-15 minutes more. I still had some dry cake mix in parts but over all it was pretty good and I don't like cherries! It was also a bit sweet for my taste but the boyfriend loved it and so did his daughter so I'll probably make it again!

Spring Salad

I LOVE this salad. I can't tell you how many times I've made this and how many people love it. In fact my friend had a pot luck wedding and when I asked her husband to be what he wanted me to bring, this was his first choice! I can't say enough about how delicious this is. I make it the night before, somehow leaving it overnight lets the flavors blend. I HIGHLY recomend you try this.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

These are pretty good. They don't turn out as crisp as I'd like but I don't think you can get that crispness without deep frying. I add cumin to the mix and leave out the taco seasoning but that's just a personal preference.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

Excellent dish. I didn't shred the brussel sprouts, just cored and then quartered. I think this would be a great dish for people who don't like the taste of brussel sprouts on their own. It has an almost smoky, nutty taste to it. Try it once and you'll love it.
