Apple Orchard Punch

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
This was a yummy punch I made for a church fellowship. It was much more economical than apple cider. It does not have a real noticeable apple taste but it is really good.

Crispy Cucumbers and Tomatoes in Dill Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
I made this today for a Labor Day picnic. It was yummy! I made according to the recipe besides using dried dill. I give a 4 following the recipe. I decided to add a big scoop of mayo and make it a creamy salad and it is delicious like that! It is definitely a 5 star recipe that way.

Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
Fantastic! I made this recipe to serve 45 people. I doubled the glaze to be sure I had plenty. This is the first side dish I have given 5 stars. I did add cornstarch to thicken as other reviewers suggested!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
This was a delicious recipe but I'm not sure that it was worth the trip to the store for the cream of potatoe soup. I think it would have been delicious with cream of chicken and cream of celery soup. I took this to a sunday school brunch and everyone loved it.

Corn and Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Yummy, even my 5 children ate it. Followed the recipe exactly except the cilantro garnish. Didn't have it on hand. Wonderful chilled salad for the spring and summer ahead!

Lime-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
This was a quick delicious recipe. I had thin pork chops and omitted the jalepeno and cilantro. The kids don't like the pepper and I don't care for cilantro. It was a hit with the family.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
This is one of the few recipes I have given 5 stars. This is the first meatloaf that my family has ever loved. I followed the recipe exactly and added the glaze another reviewer mentioned that uses honey and ketchup. This recipe was definitely a keeper.

Excellent, followed most of recipe. I doubled it and used a whole bag of mini chocolate chips. I also baked them at 375 for 20 minutes and they came out perfect.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Excellent recipe. Will make again. I used 1 can each of the soups and 8 oz of sour cream with 2 lbs of meatballs. This made the perfect amount of gravy for our family. Fast easy recipe even the kids like. By the way I made it on the stove top in a hurry:)

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
It was a good chicken noodle soup as is but is a little bland. I ended up adding a little bit of poultry seasoning and that was just the right touch. Don't forget to take out the bay leaf when the soup is done!

Ham, Potato, and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
I used red potatoes for this recipe and left the skin on. I think it added a burst of color to an otherwise bland colored dish. It was a delicious recipe though. I did add some chicken bouillon to my potatoes as they were cooking. I also used only 1 lb of velveeta. I think 2 would have been overpowering. I have a large family and 4 out of 7 loved it.

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I have tried lots of salmon patty recipes. This one is a keeper even my husband liked it. I did not have the seasoned bread crumbs so I used a store brand pork breading (shake & Bake). It turned out great! Very flavorful! My five kids love them.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
I followed this recipe exactly and was disappointed. I like my chili thick and hearty and this is more like chili soup. The flavor is great just needs to be thicker. I will add some crushed tomatoes next time.
