Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes)

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Its a good, healthy, quick recipe. I added fresh chives and yellow pepper as well as more onion. An addition of potatoes would make it even better. :)

Orange Juice Tzimmes

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
I made so many changes I wasn't sure whether to write a review or a new recipe! First, I used fresh orange juice and plenty of orange zest. I replaced the prunes with dried apricots, halved the butter, and added honey. Tasted very good and orange-y.

Broccoli Quiche with Mashed Potato Crust

Mmmmm. I added chopped red bell pepper, dried chives, and dried parsley. Tastes good with mushrooms too (just saute them first).

Chickpea Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
I liked the salad, but I made some of my own changes. First, no tomatoes, I added sweet red pepper instead. As for the vinegar, only about two tablespoons, and I didn't have any more balsamic left so I used Italian dressing. Tastes really good.

Really good with Italian bread and cheddar cheese sprinkled. I also added fresh chives, dill, marjoram and sliced mushrooms.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
I was really happy with this cake. I loved the taste, and the fact that I didn't have to use eight egg yolks for this. The only things I changed was the vanilla extract, and I used half butter and half oil, though I think shortening would be better. It's an excellent recipe overall.

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
I love this recipe. It's easy to make and tastes awesome. I would suggest refrigerating it before use because it becomes uh sturdier and easier to ice with.

Ginger Snaps II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
I hate this recipe! I saw all the reviews and figured it would taste good. It sucked! For some reason, they were greasy on the outside and dry on the inside. They tasted strange and not like ginger snaps at all. I'm not a fan of ginger now that I made this recipe.

Served it over pasta, and I did not like it. Just tasted like cooked vegetables. Nothing special.

Great recipie! I use it all the time. Except, I add a little cinnamon and don't use celery. Celery does not puree well. But I still love it!!!!!!
