It's good, but not as good as Chevy's restaurant recipe.

Very yummy. I added a bit more spice and mini-chocolate chips, but the rest to a T. Great recipe.

Great recipe, yummy tasting, and on their way to Afghanistan in a care package. Recommend recipe highly. Did add sour cream and cinnamon as modifications to the dough for moisture and taste respectively.

The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
I used this recipe and it was so yummy! I did make a few minor changes, though. I boiled my potatoes in water, chicken broth, Meditteranean sea salts/seasonings, and Herbes de Provence. The potatoes had a delicious flavor. Also, to the salad I added diced bell peppers, diced celery, and toasted almonds. To the dressing, I added Herbes de Provence, dash of balsamic vinegar, plain yogurt, pinch of sugar, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, Meditteranean seasoning, Mirin rice wine, ground rosemary/garlic seasoning, and a little bit of cinnamon. Yummy! :)

Followed the recipe, added a few more of my own spices (Herbes de Provence) and Mirin rice wine--amazing, moisty turkey. Thanks for posting the recipe. :)

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
I did the suggestions--added a touch of balsamic vinegar, played with the sugar. I also used white wine, per recipe. The whole dressing was amazing. I received rave reviews from the guests. I soaked my strawberries in the dressing, as per one suggestion. I also added mandarin oranges and caramelized almonds. It was a lovely, yummy salad.

Hot Cross Buns I

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
This recipe was good. I tweaked it a bit. I doubled the butter, added a bit more sugar, added the other suggested spices, and did craisins because I live overseas and couldn't get the suggested fruit.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
I've made this twice and it gets rave reviews. Some changes I make. Melt the butter. I use 1/2 stick. Add the flour. I use 1/4 cup. I mix that and add Mirin Rice Wine (not vinegar). I probably use 1/4 cup. I then add the mustard and rest of the ingredients. I use 3 tsp of the Dijon mustard. I use 1.5 bags of 5-cheese Italian mix and 2 bags of sharp cheddar. I used 2 bags of mac.

Sweet and Sour Chicken III

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
Thanks for all of the ideas. I wish we could create a IV recipe that combines all of your ideas. It was frustrating to have to go through and take notes. I cut up the chicken and let it marinate in olive oil, soy sauce, Mirin rice wine, fresh ginger, and other spices advised in a post. Then, I sauteed the meat in COCONUT oil (virgin). Gave it a different taste and yummy smell. I added garlic, Mirin rice wine, other advised spices, more fresh ginger, NUTMEG, dried yellow mustard, salt, powdered ginger, garlic powder, and stir fried those together. For veggies, I used the bell peppers--but I added China pea pods, carrots, water chestnuts, and a few other things suggested. I boiled the sauce, but I couldn't get it to thicken. So, I added corn starch that I first mixed with orange juice to get rid of the lumps. That added a yummy flavor. I brought it to a boil, added it to the meat concoction, and then I baked all of it for 30 minutes. It turned out really well by combining everyone's ideas--including adding catsup, less soy sauce, more brown sugar, a tad more vinegar, and more pineapple. I served with sticky jasmine rice. I got rave reviews. Great recipe. Thanks for the added ideas.

German Pancake

I thought it was a great recipe. I made it for a crew leaving early in the a.m. I did add sugar and vanilla, though, because it tasted a little bland. The syrup was wonderful.

Frog Eyed Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2007
This is my favorite salad! It is so yummy; definitely a comfort food around our house. I've tried many different recipes and this one is my fav. I just wish there were a way to take out the eggs, though, because some people in my family are allergic to eggs. Anyway, appreciated the tidbit about being able to freeze it. I add a little cinnamon to mine and coconut; adds a little extra something to it. I also put vanilla in the "sauce."
