I'm a content writer for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo as well as the Emerald City Convention in Seattle. I don't have a lot of time for cooking so this site really helps me plan my meals and gives me some great ideas for food that's tasty yet quick. I'm also a pescatarian so it's helpful having a resource that consistently publishes recipes that I can use.
My favorite things to cook
I'm a big fan of soups. Living in Alberta the climate can dip into the -40's celsius, so it's helpful to always have a good soup on hand!
My cooking triumphs
I make pretty fantastic clam chowder, if I do say so myself! :)
My cooking tragedies
I once tried an asian-style stir-fry with rice noodles. I had way too much noodles and way too little sauce... what a sticky yet tasty mess!

Vegetarian Stuffing
I'm a vegetarian and I am spending this Thanksgiving with a friend who's vegan. I made this recipe and I swapped out the cream of mushroom soup for organic coconut milk. I also added some fresh garlic and red onions. It was fantastic! Thanks for posting this recipe - I'll be making it again for sure.

Rice and Raisin Breakfast Pudding
awesome recipe! I kept with the almond idea and used almond milk instead of soy - turned out wonderfully. Thanks so much for this!

Vegan Curried Rice
This recipe was fantastic! I go to a potluck every Sunday at a friend's place so I'm always looking for quick but plentiful recipes, and this was perfect. I'm a vegetarian and another girl there is a vegan so this worked out well for both of us. I added a handful of mushrooms when the rice was almost finished cooking and it turned out beautifully. Thank you so much for the recipe!
